You've been on the road for awhile now with no stretch breaks. The side effects starting to show when the joints in your legs begin to stiffen. Just as the thought had occurred, a blue sign reading; rest area 1 miles ahead, flew past your car as you drove by. Perfect. You flicked your gaze off the road and to the drivers side mirror to check for any surrounding cars. Though there were none, the road completely desolate at that moment. As you looked back onto the road, you sped up a smidge more.
Up ahead, you could see the detour route that led into the promised destination. Slowly pulling into the densely wooded area that surrounded itself around the public bathrooms. Not a single car was in the parking spots. Which was great since you didn't hate to worry about being alone with a stranger at a rest area. Which you've always been warned growing up not to linger at for too long in risk of being the next victim of some sick fucks fantasies. But despite that, it still unnerved you to be alone in this quiet quiet area. Though the scenery was nice.
You parked in front of the rest rooms and let yourself out. You could feel the relief disperse itself throughout your body as you closed the door behind you, your joints cracking in some areas that have been left immobile for too long. Such as your knees.
You circled your head a few times to release tension that bound itself into your muscles while you walked towards the front of your car and onto the sidewalk, deciding to also take this opportunity to use the bathroom before continuing your way. You got a glimpse of the sky through the branches of nearby trees and noticed that it was beginning to grow dark. The street light and outdoor bathroom lights flickering on to reveal its ugly orange glow. Only signaling that your stay shouldn't be overdue.
The obnoxious bathroom lights blinded you almost immediatly and the stench of the public restroom threatened your nose. A complete contrast to the smell of soil and soft lighting of the setting sun outside. After doing your business, you went to wash your hands at the sink. Before turning the water on, you heard faint footsteps outside. Expecting someone to walk in, you turned to stare out the doorless entrance. Only to see nothing there.
They probably just went into the other bathroom across from the divider. But you couldn't help shake the uneasiness that lingered. You honestly just wanted to head back to the security of your car at this point. Though after you washed and dried your hands, something struck you. You didn't hear a car pull up...
That uneasiness escalated further as you tip-toed your way to the door. Maybe you're just hearing things and there actually wasn't any foot steps. Probably just a deer considering you were surrounded by a forest. Didn't matter. Animal or not, you wanted to leave. Seeing the little daylight you have left, you went to beeline your way to your car.
You hadn't even taken two steps out of the doorframe before something grabbed you. Panic replaced your instincts when you feel two arms wrap around from behind you. Before you could make any sort of noise, a large gloved hand tightly wrapped around your mouth and nose. You thrashed as hard as you could in hopes of putting your kidnapper off guard though they were much stronger than you. You could tell just by the feeling of his chest that pressed against your back. Assuming whoever was attacking you is male due to the physical traits you could see at the moment.
This hasn't been touched since June/July of 2022 lol
