"Interesting," I muttered. Glass shattered somewhere in the house and my head snapped to the side, listening. "What is that?" I glared at Rose.
"I don't know."
"Who else is in this house?"
"I don't know," she replied again. I grabbed the girl by the arm, dragging her with me as we all left the room, heading towards the front door. We made it to the entrance of the house before stopping, turning when a figure zoomed past me and the girl. I pushed her towards Rose, turning as it came by again.
"Rose," Elijah threatened.
"I don't know who it is."
"Up here," a voice called from upstairs. I ran up the steps, stopping halfway as another voice came from downstairs. A weapon fired and pain spread throughout my hand. Looking down, I saw a small stake sticking through it. Hissing, I pulled it out, throwing it to the side.
"Excuse me. To whom it may concern. You're making a great mistake if you think you can beat us. You can't. You hear that? I repeat, you cannot beat us." Elijah walked over to the wooden coat rack, breaking off a giant piece before snapping it in half and throwing part of it to me. "So I want the girl, on the count of three. Or heads will roll. Do we understand each other?"
"I'll come with you. Just please don't hurt my friends. They just wanted to help me out," the girl's voice came from behind me, at the top of the stairs and I whirled around, glaring up at her. Elijah sped up the stairs, only a few steps away from her.
"What game are you playing?" The girl moved her arm, revealing a bomb of some sort. She pulled the pin, throwing it at Elijah and ducking away as it exploded against his face. He started screaming, holding onto his face, which quickly healed. Quickly making my way up the stairs, bullets lodged themselves into my chest and torso, but I kept moving, as they had little effect on me. The man who had fired at me lunged, sending us both down the stairs. Falling to a heap at the base of the staircase, I got up, watching him struggle to stand. I moved towards him, only to have the piece of coat rack I had, go through my chest, right into my heart. Looking down at it, I was pushed backwards, my back connecting with something hard as the wood went deeper into my chest, the world going black.
*3rd POV*
Turning off a light, Stefan made his way over to the bottles of alcohol, grabbing a glass. A dark shadow zoomed past him and he quickly turned to look. It zoomed past him again and he made his way over to a drawer, pulling a stake out. "Who's there?" He called out.
"I'm not here to hurt you," a female voice responded, its owner stepping out from behind a wall. It was the girl from earlier.
"Why are you here?"
"Lexi once told me that you're one of the good ones."
"You knew Lexi?"
"Trevor was my best friend. For five hundred years, I have lived with one person. And he's gone. And I don't wanna run anymore because I don't have anywhere else to run to."
"Well, I'm sorry but I can't help you."
"I don't need your help, but I think you need mine. Elijah and the girl may be dead but this isn't over."
"What do you mean it's not over?"
"It isn't over. The Originals, they'll come for her. They have to. They're doing it for him."
"For who?"
"Klaus."
*Elizabeth's POV*
I could feel my body trying to heal itself. Opening my eyes, I saw Elijah standing in front of me, hands on the coat rack sticking out of my chest. In one swift movement, he pulled and I collapsed to the ground, still trying to regain my strength. Elijah pulled me up, wrapping an arm around my waist as we made our way out to the car, one thought in our minds.
