When we arrived at Alaric's apartment, I could hear all too familiar voices coming from inside. Klaus opened the door, walking in. I hesitated in the doorway, unsure if I would be able to get in uninvited. Taking a deep breath, I took a step in, not feeling a barrier. "Klaus, you're back. Look who decided to come for a visit," Katerina said as I shut the door behind me.
"You just keep popping up, don't you?"
"I need your help. For my brother," Stefan said.
"Well, whatever it is, he's gonna have to wait a tick. You see, I have an obligation to my brother that requires my immediate attention." Klaus walked past Stefan into another room.
"You understand how important family is or you wouldn't be here. My brother gave me his word that he would reunite me with my own," Elijah explained.
"And so I shall." Elijah turned, only to have me press a dagger into his heart. He cried out as it went deeper.
"Sorry, Elijah. It's for the best. Couldn't have you interfering with our plans," I whispered to him, letting his body fall to the ground. I turned to Klaus, a smile making its way onto my face. "Nik."
"Kitten." Walking over to him, he put a hand on my cheek, leaning down to kiss me.
Pulling away, I smirked, "Told you he wouldn't suspect anything." He chuckled, placing a kiss on my forehead. Stefan and Katerina watched on, confused and shocked.
*le gasp* Cliffhanger!
Yes, that is the end of this book. I had originally had more, but then I thought it would be better if I just ended it with a cliffhanger because maybe then it would shock you guys and make you come back for the second book :)
