"Just like that?"
"Just like that."
"I'm a man of my word, Elena. And Ellie keeps her promises. I make a deal, I keep a deal."
"How are you going to be able to keep everybody safe?"
"You know, I notice you have a friend, Bonnie, is it? She seems to possess the gift of magic. I have friends with similar gifts."
"You know witches."
"Together we can protect everybody that matters to you. So do we have a deal?"
"I need you to do one more thing for me," Elena finally spoke after a minute of silence. I appeared next to Elijah, curious.
"We're negotiating now?" I asked.

Elijah and I found the church ruins that the tomb was underneath, quickly going down the steps and looking around. I nodded to the door and Elijah moved it out of the way, revealing a dark passage. There was the sound of footsteps and a figure holding a lantern turned the corner. Another figure followed behind, but quickly stopped, gasping. I recognized it as Katerina and smirked. "Elijah. Ellie."
"Good evening, Katerina," Elijah said politely and a low growl escaped my lips as I glared at her. I took a slight step forward and Elijah grabbed onto my arm, stopping me.
"Thank you for having the good sense to be frightened," I told her, not failing to notice her move back slightly when I took a step forward.
"Your release has been requested," Elijah told Stefan, the youngest Salvatore brother.
"What? By who?"
"The lovely Elena drives a hard bargain. However, we reached a peaceful agreement." It was silent as they stared at us. "Please, come." Elijah stepped to the side.
"I can't."
"Yes, you can. I've had the spell lifted." As Elijah said that, I turned my focus onto Katerina, daring her to make a move. Stefan took a hesitant step forward, stepping through the entrance of the tomb and finding that he could get out. Katerina saw that he could leave and tried to make her escape, but I quickly blocked her way. Elijah walked over, pulling Katerina's face towards him, so he could look her in the eye. "As for you, however, you shall not exit until I say so. When Klaus comes, he'll want to know exactly where you are."
Her pupils dilated at his compulsion and I turned back towards Stefan, "You're free to go. Elena will explain the arrangement to you. If she keeps her word, we'll keep ours." Elijah walked out of the tomb and I turned to glare at Katerina one last time before following. We got back to the car and I got in, slamming the door shut.
"You should have let me kill her, Elijah. I think I deserve it after what she did to me," I grumbled as he started driving.
"No, she belongs to Klaus."
"Screw Klaus! I want to be the one who shoves a stake through her chest!"
"We will discuss this more when Klaus arrives," he said with finality as I heaved a sigh.
Ooh! Looks like there's some bad history between Ellie and Katerina.
