Reigisa (Rei x Nagisa): Unspoken

Part 3

Rei walked towards the spot where everyone would me up and saw Haru and Makoto. Rei waved, Makoto smiled and Haru stared like normal.

"Where's Nagisa?" Makoto asked.

"I don't know" Rei responded. From the tone of Rei's voice and his body language, Makoto could tell that Rei was upset.

"What's wrong Rei?"

"Nothing." Rei doesn't like talking about his problems and he was definitely not going to talk to Makoto about his relationship problems with Nagisa. Makoto let the issue go and returned his attention towards Haru. Half way through the lunch break Nagisa appeared.

"Hey guys." He said smiling. Rei got irritated, doesn't Nagisa think he's wrong. Everyone replied to Nagisa's hello except Rei. Rei turned his head and ignored Nagisa. Nagisa felt hurt but sat next to Rei. Nagisa began talking about the indoor swimming pool he had checked out a couple of days again, but Rei just stared off into space. Rei had too many things on his mind. All revolving around Nagisa and this mysterious guy named Shinji. Rei was scared to confront Nagisa about it because what if Nagisa wanted to break up. Rei felt his heart sink and slowly became depressed. While talking Nagisa grabbed Rei's hand to hold it but Rei only shook it off. Nagisa looked at Rei for a moment was about to say something but the bell rang and lunch had ended. Rei got up and walked away. Nagisa got up and chased after him.

"Rei-chan!" Nagisa called after him. Nagisa picked up his pace to catch up to Rei. "Reiiiii"

Rei stopped for a moment but didn't turn around to face Nagisa, "We are going to be late for class, come on."

Rei's voice was cold and distant and Nagisa felt scared. "Rei-chan what's wrong?"

"Nothing." Rei replied not turning around, his voice shallow and soft. Rei began to talk away but Nagisa pulled his arm and asked him to wait. Rei turned around, his face filled with sadness. Nagisa let go. He didn't know what was wrong with Rei but he obviously didn't want him around. Nagisa watched as Rei walked away, feeling completely helpless and alone. They returned to class.
