Reigisa (Rei x Nagisa): Unspoken

Part 8

Rei watched as Nagisa's eyes filled with tears. It hurt to see him like that, so sad, so tired. Rei sighed and wiped away a tear that trickled down the others face. Rei opened his mouth to speak but Nagisa beat him too it.

"I don't want to break up! I don't know what's been going on and why you're so distant but I...I.." Nagisa said before the tears came crashing down.

Rei had to bite his lip in order to keep cool or he would soon be in the same hysteric state the other was in. Nagisa was gripping Rei's hand tightly, so much so that it hurt slightly.

"Nagisa that hurts" Rei said. Nagisa immediately let go of Rei's hand and put his hands over his face. He didn't know what to do.

"Nagisa-" Rei started.

"Please Rei, I thought I lost you once please don't make me loose you for real." Nagisa said.

Rei sighed. "If you would just let me talk before you jumped to conclusions."

Confused, Nagisa lifted his head from his hands and looked at Rei. "Huh?"

"I never said anything about breaking up. However, your faithfulness worries me." Rei said looking away slightly. "You've been getting messages and meeting with another man." He said. Silence filled the room. Rei's heart ached as Nagisa didn't answer. Was it true? Was Nagisa really seeing someone behind his back. Rei turned to look at Nagisa and tears continued to rush down Nagisa's face as he didn't speak a word.

Was this what Rei felt? Nagisa thought.  Could Rei not trust him? Nagisa looked down as his feet as sat in the chair. He was glad that he was sitting because if Nagisa had been standing he would have collapsed from the shock.

"So it's true." Rei said, his voice cracked at the end of the sentence. "If you were through with me you could have just told me instead of using me!" Rei shouted. He was so hurt. He gripped his shirt in hopes that the tears he was holding in would stay away. 

Nagisa looked up and stared at his love. "How could you say that?! I have never once cheated on you are used you!" He shouted. His emotions were going crazy. Tears continued to flow as he honestly answered Rei. 

"You're lying! Then what about Shinji? You got a text from him and have been on your phone nonstop. You even got all affectionate in front of me." Rei said baffled that Nagisa was trying to hide his affair still holding in the tears that wanted to be released as he argued.

"That's not how it looks! I have a reason for that." Nagisa retorted.

"Really then? Explain." Rei insisted, crossing his arm and stared at Nagisa hoping that the explanation was a damn good one to put their relationship on the line. His eyes were pleading, begging for an answer to make all his doubts and worries go away.
