Reigisa (Rei x Nagisa): Unspoken

Part 5

"Rei! Wait Rei! Slow down! Rei!" Nagisa yelled still trying to catch up with Rei.

Rei didn't slow down though, he continued walking and wiped away the tears that were trickling down his face. His heart ached and each time Nagisa called his name it felt like another stab to his heart. Finally Nagisa caught up and grabbed Rei's arm. Rei stopped but didn't face Nagisa because of the tears that were still rolling down his face.

"Rei what's wrong?" Nagisa asked, his voice low and filled with hurt.

"Nothing" Rei said, he tried to sound normal but his voice cracked a little. Nagisa heard the sadness in Rei's voice.

"I don't believe you, what's wrong Rei. You can tell me anything." He trained to comfort Rei by putting his hand on his shoulder but Rei shrugged it off. Nagisa's heart sank and tears started to form in his eyes. "Rei why won't you talk to me, why won't you look at me? You've been weird all day, I don't understand." Rei said nothing and it only make Nagisa's heart drop deeper into his stomach. "Rei, please, please tell me" Nagisa pleaded.

"Why?" Rei asked finally speaking.

"I love you Rei, I want to know what's wrong."

"Then why?" Rei asked.

"Why what?" Nagisa asked confused at what his lover was asking.

"Why did you lie to me this morning, why were you always texting that guy, why did you have to go and flirt in front of me with the very person you've been talking to and hiding from me!" Rei said, turning slightly towards Nagisa and raising his voice.

"I wasn't hiding anything from you Rei."

"You're lying." Rei yanked his arm away from Nagisa, turned and grabbed his arms. "You lied to me this morning, saying it was you mom and it was Shinji texting you!" Rei said angrily, his voice was filled with anger but his heart was hurting, and tears began to fall from his eyes. Nagisa didn't say anything and his silence stabbed at Rei and fueled his jealousy. Rei squeezed Nagisa's arms tightly and Nagisa winced at the pain. "Why Nagisa? Why did you lie? Why did you cheat on me?"

Nagisa didn't reply cause all he could focus on was the pain in his arms from Rei squeezing him tightly. "Rei you're hurting me" Nagisa said but Rei didn't listen.

"Why?!" Rei asked tears still streaming from his face. " Rei it hurts. Ow. Rei...." Nagisa winced again at the pain and tried pulling away. "Rei, you're hurting me!" Nagisa yelled.

Rei woke up from his rage and saw that he was hurting Nagisa. Shocked he let go of Nagisa. Since Nagisa was trying to pull away from Rei he stumbled backwards when Rei let him go. Nagisa lost his balance and fell into the street. Nagisa sat up and started helping himself up. Rei walked over to help Nagisa up but noticed a car driving down the street. Rei's eyes widen with fear as the car drew closer to Nagisa.

"Nagisa! Watch out!!" Rei yelled running toward him. Nagisa looked at the car heading for him and froze with fear. Rei dashed towards Nagisa and tried to move them out of the way, sadly it was no use. Rei wrapped his arms around Nagisa and held on tightly.

The next thing that Rei knew was sound of screeching from the cars tires and a warm sensation running down the side of his head. "REI!" Nagisa yelled. Rei looked tenderly at Nagisa as Nagisa hovered over him. He's not hurt, he thought and smile slightly. Nagisa began to talk but it was all hazy to Rei and suddenly darkness engulfed him leaving him in nothing but silence.
