after an eventful day, the children resigned in their bedrooms. kira and y/n cuddled up into each other's beds, as kira kept on talking about all the toys she got for christmas, y/n kept thinking back to the alleyway. it was like a stain on a white shirt she couldn't get rid of, who was the voice? why was the voice talking to her? did all might hear the voice too?

so many questions yet no answers. well, there was one way to find out.

"hey are you listening to me!?" kira snapped at y/n, getting the attention back on her. the young girl nodded, clearly not caring, cause kira remark coldly, "is that your quirk or something: can't listen to anybody?"

"it's not that i can't listen to anybody." y/n clarified, she sat up and shrugged, "it's just that i don't care and wanna do my own thing."

kira sassily questioned, "was that the thought you had going through your brain when you kicked tanya on the stomach?"

"her getting kicked in the stomach wasn't permanent." y/n huffed getting out of her bed, "unlike my quirkless life. at least didn't get a quirk that just makes my hair grow."

"shut up, y/n!"

y/n walked out the door, down the hallway to the, thankfully, empty kitchen. some of the christmas lights were still on, on the fireplace and of course on the tree. y/n looked out the front window, seeing the snow beginning to melt under the half-moon.

should she go find that person again? it's not that anyone would notice, it usually takes kira less than five minutes of silence to fall asleep. plus, y/n has sneaked out before, but only in the backyard never out on the road.

the girl put on her jacket, boots and hat over her f/c bonnet. the carers say it was dangerous out there at night, bad guys' hours start. well, if anything goes wrong, y/n would use the kitchen knife she stole from the drawer.

y/n opened the window and quickly jumped out, closing it the tiniest bit so she can open it from the other side.

it was dead freezing outside, her little breaths were like puffs of smoke in the air. y/n went down the same path from before and soon returned to the same alley.

she took a deep breath, "...h-hello!" her voice echoed down the deep dark abyss.

nothing. pure silence.

"this was stupid." y/n groaned and began to walk away.

"is it now?"

the child froze in her exact position, her throat ran dry as an unfamiliar yet scared shock travelled through her body. she slowly turned around on her supporting heal and was taken back by the figure.
