Jack
I woke up with a groan. God, I felt horrible.. My entire body was sore and my head still felt a lil fuzzy. I sat up, and that's when I noticed that I was in the nude.. I cocked a brow before looking over at Audrey, who was completely dressed.. I remember doing something. With her. But seeing her dressed, with her back towards me, probably meant it was a dream. I wasn't too sure. I scratched my head before pulling on my trousers, following up with my boots. I'd leave my shirt and coat for now. I needed to freshen up before we'd go out and ride again.
I climbed out of the tent and stood up straight, stretching out and letting my sore muscles pop. God that hurt.. I looked over at Virgil, whose eyes were as wide as saucers and I heard a few of the other travellers whistle. Virgil walked over to me, looking at me with a cocked brow. "What?" I asked him. Ah my throat is dry.. That hurt. Virgil pointed at me and started to grin. "I take you had an eventful night, Jackie?" He asked. I must've looked as confused as a cow in a stable of horses because he pulled an old, damaged mirror from his pocket. Then he showed me. My neck was filled with small red and purple spots. Some bitemarks too. "Your back looks like hell. As if you were attacked by a damn coyote." Virgil said, nodding at me.
For fucks sake.. It wasn't a damn dream.. That damned woman, I swear.. "Audrey!" I yelled when I turned around to look over at the tent. I heard some movement inside of the tent, together with some soft swears and mumbles. Then she stepped outside, wobbling on her legs and shielding her face from the sun with her hand.
"Fuck, Jack.. Why are you yelling..?" I heard her grumble. She didn't sound very happy. I gestured to myself, mostly my neck and I turned around so she could see my back. When I turned back to her to face her she just shrugged a little. "Okay and? Want a trophy now?" She spat at me while frowning deeply. "Did you seduce me again, Woman?" I asked, sternly. Then she burst out in laughter before shaking her head. Virgil kept looking in between the two of us, confused as hell. "I didn't, Jack. Not this time. This? This was all you. And I told you to stop because you were going to regret it." She said, rolling her eyes while the words left her mouth. Me? Seducing her? There's no way..
"And now the truth?" I said, frowning back at her. Virgil looked at her too, cocking a brow. She ignored me and turned her head to look back at Virgil. "Say, do you have a horse I can loan.. Or buy, I suppose..?" She asked him while running a hand through her pretty hair. The hell did she need her own horse for? We had Banshee.. Virgil nodded at her before looking back at me. "I don't think the lady is lying, Jack." he said with a shrug.
I groaned, running my hands through my hair. "Why didn't you try harder to stop me?" I asked her and she made a face when I asked. "Why would i? It's nice to be desired for a change." She muttered and honestly I didn't know all too well what to answer to that. "I can't fucking believe you let me.. You goddamn wh-" She raised her finger, cutting off my sentence. "Stop acting like some offended virgin. It's not like you imagined it being me under you anyway." She spat at me, so viciously, It left a vile taste in my mouth.
I cocked a brow at her and Virgil stared at me, with those wide eyes again. "Jack..?" He sighed at me, crossing his arms on his chest. "What are you talking about, woman?!" I raised my voice at her, but she didn't even flinch. She just shrugged at me. "Ask Judith." She said, coldly. I felt my blood run cold and I felt like I was going to explode at her but she walked away and Virgil had grabbed my arm. "I'll talk to her. Get dressed." He said before walking after Audrey. I cursed to myself and moved to climb back into the tent, to get the rest of my clothes on and gather my stuff.
I pulled my shirt back on, which made my back sting. Christ this woman really bloody fucking attacked me.. I put my coat on, my hat back on and grabbed my bag before leaving the tent once more. I looked over the camp and found Virgil and Audrey talking nearby the horses. I couldn't see much, but she seemed upset about something. I mean does she deserve to be upset because I got angry with her? She knew I'd get angry. And she shamed me in front of the men. How much can there be for her to be upset about?
