TAKES PLACE DIRECTLY AFTER CHP VII IN BOOK 2
The rest of Ed's roommates walked in few minutes after Peter left, each one going to their own bed and putting down their books.
Unfortunately for Ed, Collin's bed was right in front of his by the window.
"Evening Peven-"
"Yes, good evening" Edmund cut him off, obviously not in a mood to talk to him.
"Something wrong?" The boy pushed as he flopped down on his bed and kicked away his shoes.
"Please shut up" Ed mumbled under his breath as he pulled out his suitcase from under the bed to grab his pajamas.
"He's pissed" one of the other boys remarked
"Leave him to it" another muttered "wouldn't want to get into a fight with him"
Collin rolled his eyes. Edmund didn't scare him at all. To him, he seemed all bark and no bight. The minute the others left the room to go change, he continued to push his luck.
"Does this have anything to do with Avelyn?" He asked casually as he pulled his vest over his head, not bothering to head into the changing room down the hall.
Edmund ignored him by slamming shut his suitcase and kicking it back under the bed.
"I can stop talking to her if you want"
"Right now I'd wish you'd stop talking to me" Ed huffed.
"Im sorry" Collin mumbled as he undid the buttons of his shirt "I wouldn't want ruin whatever you have. I just didn't know you both were together"
Edmund stopped rummaging through his drawer for a towel before he spoke.
"We aren't together" he said through clenched teeth.
"Oh" Collin smirked "then I guess I have my target set"
Edmund didn't respond. He was doing everything he could to remain calm. Collin however, kept pushing his luck.
"I don't get it though" he went on "if you aren't together then why do you act so possessive?"
"I don't"
"Yes you do" he chuckled "you don't own her. Now be a good boy and find another toy to play with alright? I've already got my eyes set on this one"
Edmund had it at this point. He lunged at the boy, grabbing him by the collar and shoving him against the wall making sure the back of Collin's head had a nasty impact.
"I don't appreciate you talking about my girl as if she's some sort of object" he spoke coldly "one more word from you and I will beat you up until you can't recognise yourself in the mirror"
Edmund didn't meant to refer to Avelyn as 'his girl' but he was so used to it that it just slipped out.
And of course Collin decided to point this out while already being at a disadvantage.
"Your girl huh? He spat "I'm starting to think you're the one whose being an arse"
Edmund didn't think twice before he balled his hand into a fist and punch Collin square in the face before bringing his arm back up and punching him again.
"What part of"
Punch
"Shut up"
Punch
"Didn't you understand?"
He caught the boy by the collar once again and pushed him onto the floor before turning around to grab his clothes and towel. He walked away to the changing room but stopped by the door.
"You should consider taking a shower before you change" he spat "you smell just as filthy as the way you talk"
Heyy! Decided to post another chapter I never published since it was super short but here you go :)
