Interview.

Int: so, how does it feel to play Edmund and Avelyn in the franchise? Can you tell us about your reaction when you found out you got the part?

Skander:
"It's amazing. I remember when Andrew first called me up to tell me I'd been chosen. I was on my way to school in the bus so I couldn't really scream. It sounded as if I was having second thoughts about auditioning.

Later, after my solo audition that is, I had to do another one with Lauren. And uh yea, that was the day I'd got the part and I'm pretty sure I yelled 'yea baby' really loud" *laughs*

Lauren:
"I was eating dinner with my family when I got the call to come in and try a screen test. I literally spat out my food and ran to the kitchen to tell my dog about it *chuckles slightly*

And then that's when I first met Skander, at our final audition. I didn't yell or scream like Skander did, I was just smiling a lot like an idiot"

Int: Why were you both cast at the very last, especially Skander, you didn't have to do any screen tests with the other Pevensie kids.

Skander:
"Yes, um, that's because Edmund was sort of like, the odd one in the family so he had to be a bit different and distant from the others but at the same time he gets along with Avelyn, in a playful or um, love-hate sort of relation"

Lauren:
"And we actually did get along better, I mean Skander hates hugs, except when I hug him"

Skander:
*chuckling* "hey... don't give out our secret"

Int: what was the hardest part to film?

Lauren:
"I think the horse riding? It was fun but our horses didn't really want to listen. If I'd want Splinter, that was my horse's name, if I'd want him to go left, he'd go right. So yea, their stubbornness made it hard"

Skander:
"Your one to talk about being Stubborn

*both chuckle*

The hardest thing for me were scenes where Edmund and Avelyn are having any cute or romantic moment. I used to find it so hard to keep a straight face. I blushed a lot, you see.

There was this one scene where we had to lean in and almost-"

Avelyn:
"Oh don't bring that up

*laughs*

I blame you"

Skander:
"It kind of was my fault. You see, there was this scene where our characters are about to kiss but they get interrupted by the beavers. But what happened while filming was, as I would lean in, Andrew had to yell cut for the scene to end.

But the loudspeaker was off and I couldn't hear him say cut. So I just assumed *nervous laughter* that you know- and so I bent over and pecked her lips"

*both laugh*

Int: *chuckling* did either of you enjoy it?

Lauren:
"I was more shocked because I wasn't expecting that"

Skander:
"Oh come on, you liked it. That was our fist ever kiss by the way. Like not between us but like-"

Lauren:
"I didn't think my first kiss would be on screen, in front of a bunch of people all because this idiot made a mistake"

Skander:
"The actual scene didn't even make it to the final cut! So all of that drama was for nothing!"

Int: who knows, if they release a gag reel, we might be able to see it

Skander:
"I hope it's not included there either"

Lauren:
"It was a weird day"
