Slowly I opened my watery eyes and blinked rapidly. The sun felt like it was about 10000 wts too bright. I never slept with my blinds open so I never had to deal with this particular irritation. Speaking of irritations, my neck was bent at a very uncomfortable angle, I was buried under something very heavy and lumpy, and hot. In short, I was acutely uncomfortable.
Once I was able to pull my left arm out from under the pile of what I rapidly figured out was the bodies of my friends, I was able to wipe the sleep from my eyes and try to shove the girls off of me.
DEEP Breath in "Yawn" try to shake them awake.
"Hey girls! Come on get up! You're squishing me."
"Mumble... NO. You're comfy."
"Did you honestly just SAY mumble to me?"
"Ya and shush! Apples make good pillows."
"What?!"
With that MeiLei bounced her cheek against my chest where she was laying.
"Remember how you told us that those girls at your old school asked you how you got such 'big apples' referring to your boobs. BUT you thought they meant REAL apples. And you told them that your mom got them for you. SOOOOOO as you can see. APPLES MAKE GOOD PILLOWS!"
"EWWWWW ok ok ok get off of me!!!" I practically screeched before flailing around and finally succeeding in making MeiLei tumble off of me and the couch, taking Kelli with her. From the muffled grunt and screech of ..."OW you cow! That hurt!" it sounded as if the girls fell on Daisha.
"OHHH Daisha you're comfy too! Yay more sleep"
"UM no I don't think so you need to get up! You're laying on my bladder and I've got to pee!"
From the kitchen I heard a giggle. I craned my body around and popped my head up over the couch, only to see my Aunt, and my MOM sitting at the kitchen island counter.
"OH MY GOD MOM!!!!" I screeched, before vaulting over the back of the couch and launched myself at her.
"OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD?!! MOM WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? ARE YOU HOME FOR GOOD? I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS! I'VE MISSED YOU SO MUCH!"
She just laughed gently and hugged me back.
"UM Lyssa? You do know that you're yelling right?"
"OH ya. Opps." I giggled
"Hey guys this is my mom! Mom, this is MeiLei, Kelli and Daisha."
"Yes, Teenie filled me in, but it's nice to meet you girls."
All three girls came forward and greeted my mom before disappearing upstairs to 'freshen up'.
I couldn't stop smiling. My mom was home, and for the first time since we moved here things felt a bit more normal again.
"Hey hon, why don't you go get dressed and Aunt Teenie and I will make you girls some breakfast. And then we should get you guys to school."
"OH SHIT!" I blurted out. "How could we have forgotten about school."
"Don't worry sweetie, we called each of their parents and then also the school. Noone is mad." Aunt Teenie drawled out.
"That's not fair!" I pouted "We were sleeping."
"Well silly that's the point right. Now seriously, go get dressed and we will make breakfast, and then get those guys to school. You young lady get to spend the day with us!" My mom said, a smile coloring the tones of her voice.
