"Defne!" Nell yelled.

A women around my height approached us. She had medium brown hair. She was strikingly beautiful.

So this is Noah's ex wife.

"Nell" she greeted as Nell pulled her into a hug.

"This is Daenerys, Daenerys this is Defne."

"Nice to meet you Daenerys" Defne greeted while giving me a kiss on the cheek.

I smiled, "it's nice to meet you too, Defne."

"Daenerys is Elijahs fiance." Nell commented.

Shock was evident in her face but was quickly replaced with happiness, "oh my gosh, that's amazing. Congratulations on your engagement!"

"Thank you"

We sat down at a table Nell had reserved. We were chatting comfortably getting to know each other when three girls approached the table.

"You're kidding me" Nell mumbled.

"Nell? Is that you?" One of the girls said.

"Jessica, Amber, Anastasia, what a surprise to see you here." Nell said.

"It really is you! When did you arrive? You don't mind if we sit with you guys right?" Not waiting for a reply the girl who I believe is Jessica sat down on the empty chair. The other two girls followed sitting down on the other free chairs.

"Oh, I didn't see you there Defne." Jessica said.

Defne gave a polite smile, "it's nice to see you Jessica."

"How have you been? We haven't seen much of you after your divorce with Noah."

"I've been good." Defne replied.

Jessica nodded turning her attention to me, "and who are you?"

"This is Daenerys. She is Elijahs fiancé." Nell replied.

"Elijah is getting married!" The three girls exclaimed.

Nell smirked, "yes. She will be the future Mrs. Barone."

Jessica looked me up and down, "wow, I didn't expect Elijah to get engaged to someone."

"I don't see an engagement ring" Amber commented looking at my hand.

"A rings isn't needed to prove an engagement" Defne spoke.

"You're right." Jessica said.

"So you're marrying Elijah. I heard he is a good kisser is it true?" Anastasia said.

I shifted uncomfortably, "Nathaniel and I haven't kissed. So, I wouldn't know."

The three of them gasped, "what?"

"I would hurry up and kiss him soon. I wouldn't want him to leave me because I don't give him what he needs." Anastasia said.

"Well lucky for Daenerys she isn't you. So she has nothing to worry about. My brother would never leave her for something like that. Everyone has their own pace. And now if you excuse us we have somewhere to be. Let's go Daenerys, Defne."

Nell basically dragged us out of there. She stopped once we were far enough.

Defne touched my arm gaining my attention, "don't listen to those girls. They have no idea what they are talking about."

I nodded. I had never felt insecure of the pace Nathaniel and I were going at but after what those girls said it got me thinking. What if they are right? What if Nathaniel gets tired of waiting?

"Daenerys" Nell snapped me out of my thoughts. "My brother loves you. Don't listen to what they say."

Defne nodded, "look when Noah and I started dating he didn't kiss me till the day he proposed. I believed in sex after marriage and Noah respected that. He never pressured me. We never even made out while dating or engaged. We would kiss sometimes but nothing that went too far. He was respectful and loving. He would never do anything I wasn't okay with..." Defne seemed to drift into her own thoughts before she noticed Nell staring at her. She continues, "Everyone goes at their own pace. I'm sure if Elijah was not okay with it, he would let you know."

"You're right." I said. Nathaniel would let me know. I have to trust him. But still the feeling in my chest wouldn't go away.

"You still love my brother" Nell stated as she kept her gaze on Defne.

"I will always love your brother but there is nothing left between us."

Nell seemed like she wanted to say more but was interrupted by her phone ringing.

We split ways from Defne. I arrived to Nathaniels house to find him waiting outside the room I was staying in.

"I have something planned for us" he said not even giving me a chance to say hi.

"Hello to you too."

"Hello Daenerys" he said taking my hand in his. He opened the door to the room and let me go in first.

"What do you have planned?" I asked as I put my purse down.

"I'll show you later. For now tell me how was your day?"

I stayed quiet for a second, "it was good."

Nathaniels eyebrows scrunched, "just good?"

"Yeah," I nodded. I sat down on the edge of the bed not looking at him.

"What's wrong?" Nathaniel asked. "You usually have a lot to say. What happened?"

I sighed, "there is something that is bothering me."

"What is it?"

"Why haven't we kissed? We're already planning our wedding. And we've never even kissed" I said.

I had never thought much about why him and I had never kissed or really shown any physical affection.

He smiled and pushed himself up from the chair, "because if I kiss you I don't think I'll ever be able to stop."

I couldn't help the smile that made its way into my face. He took my hands and lifted me up from the bed so I was on my feet.

"Remember that conversation we had one time. When I told you about how I wanted to wait till marriage. I know you also want to wait till marriage, so I don't want to change that for either of us. The day I kiss you it'll become harder for me to hold back. I want to respect your wishes."

"How do you know I would give into you?" I asked

He came closer and with a smile placed his hand on my cheek caressing it. "Because you're in love with me. If I were to persuade you, you would give in because you love me. But because I love you I wouldn't do that. You're a really lucky girl. To find someone who loves you as much as I do" he said jokingly.

"I really am, huh?" I said with a big smile.

He stopped smiling and stepped closer placing a kiss on my forehead.

"Don't listen to them. Trust what we have and what you feel."

I smiled as he held my hands, "I will." Then a thought popped into my head, "What if I'm a bad kisser? And you chose not to marry me?"

His laugh echoed in the room. "I guess I'll just have to teach you. Remember practice makes perfect."

I blushed but nodded.
