Dany POV

As the sun hit my face I realized two things. One, I was late to class. Two, I had lost my phone last night. I groaned and rested myself on my stomach.

I sighed and finally used all my energy to sit up. After a few minutes of questioning life I managed to get myself into the restroom and ready for the day.

I grabbed the house phone and dialed my own number. After a few rings someone finally picked up.

"Daenerys" the handsome officers voice said through the line.

"Officer" I greeted back. "I assume I left my phone in your car last night."

"You assume correctly"

I nodded to myself, "would you mind telling me when I can pick it up. I'm already running late for class."

"You have class on a Saturday?"I mentally face palmed myself.  The smacking sound and tingly feeling I felt on my forehead made me realize I had not done it mentally. "Did you just smack yourself?"

Embarrassed I coughed, as if that would cover up for the fact I in fact had smacked myself. "No."

I heard his laugh over the phone, "I can drop it off any time you want. I'm off duty today."

"Would you mind swinging by in a few minutes?" I asked.

"Sure, where would you like me to go? To your house?"

"Yeah, do you remember where I live?"

"Yes, I'll be there in 20 minutes."

"Okay, bye."

"Bye" I hung up and laid on the couch.

When I heard  the doorbell ring I hurried and opened the door to a handsome officer.

"Officer" I said with a smile.

"Daenerys" he greeted with a smile.

"Come in, please." I opened the door so he could get through.

"Thank you and here is your phone" he took my phone out of his pocket and placed it into my outstretched hand.

"Thank you" I checked the battery on my phone and saw I had 53%. I looked up and saw Nate looking at me. "Uhm, would you like to go get breakfast with me?"

He seemed a bit surprised but agreed, "I would like that."

"Let me get my purse and we can go" I quickly grabbed my purse and headed out with Nate.

We went to Denny's because it was just five minutes away from my house.

"What should I call you?" I asked randomly as the waiter left.

"My name is Nathaniel, but people around me usually call me Nate."

"Nathaniel, that's a nice name" I said thinking out loud.

"You have a very unique name, Daenerys."

"Tell me about it. My parents have a thing for unique names."

"Do you have any relatives?" He asked.

"Yes, I have an older sister whose name is Lotus"

"I see what you mean about the unique names" he said smiling.

I smiled back, "what about you?"

"I have a younger brother, a younger sister, and three older brothers."

"Oh yeah, you never did get to tell me your brothers name."

"My brother is-" Nate was once again interrupted by the waiter. He took our orders and left.

"You were saying" I said.

Nate's attention drifted behind me towards the tv. I turned to look and saw a beautiful news reporter. She was talking about the rising sexual assault cases in universities.

Nate must have noticed my stare because he turned his attention back to me.

"I'm sorry about that, what were we talking about?"

What were we talking about?

"To be honest I forgot" I replied sincerely.

"Tell me more about yourself, Dany."

"There isn't much to tell. My dad is an engineer and my mom is an architect. My sister is engaged and living with her boyfriend a few hours from here. I'm in college preparing to be an engineer. That's pretty much it. Oh, and my love life sucks as you could have possibly already seen."

"Your love life doesn't suck, you just haven't met the right guy."

"How do I know who the right one is?" I asked slightly tilting my head to the side.

"You'll just know."

"Have you met the right one?" I asked feeling curious to if the handsome officer had a girlfriend.

He shook his head and I felt myself feeling relieved. Wait, I shouldn't be feeling like this. I like the idiot of Mark. Which reminds me he hasn't even texted me to make sure I got home safe.

Nate and I continued to chat and eat. He asked me about my future plans and what I liked to do in my free time. I learned that he originally wanted to be a politician but at the end decided not to and to help out in a different way.

"Thank you for breakfast" I said as Nate walked me to the door.

"You welcome, next time I'll take you somewhere else."

"I'll hold you to that" I smiled and he gave me one last smile before I went inside my house.

I went upstairs and immediately kicked my shoes off and threw myself on my bed. I was drifting off into a comfortable sleep when my phone decided to ring.

"Hello" I answered.

"Hey, Dany" Nicks voice said through the line.

"What's up?"

"Remember you had told me you were looking for a job right?"

"Yeah"

"Well I have one for you but I'm not sure if you're willing to do it."

"What is it?"

"It's being sorta of like a housemaid. Well not really. You just have to cook and clean"

"That's basically a housemaid" I said.

"The pay is good and it's a small house with only one person living there. And they are barely home." He said.

"Hmm, is this person trustworthy?"

"Yes, I know him personally."

"Well cooking and cleaning doesn't sound so bad"

"Great, let's meet up and I can tell you the details. By the way don't tell Mia you're meeting up with me, she is kind of mad at me."

I shook my head with a smile. Those two are like cats and dogs. It's kind of weird how they argue. Mia is the only person Nick argues with but even when he argues with her he still manages to be so polite.

"Will do" I said.

"See you in a few then?"

"Yes" I hung up and sent Nick my address just in case he forgot where I lived. I decided to tidy up my room a bit while I waited for him to arrive with the info on my new job.
