Monte and I woke up to our son Malachai jumping up and down on our bed. Being woken up at eight in the morning. It being eight in the morning my brain was still fuzzy and hard to process what I heard from my son's mouth.
"Mommy! Daddy! Uncle Ronnie is in Aunt Kirstin's bed and they're kissing!" he said bouncing on us. WHAT?!?!
I walked over to Kirstin's room and saw her and Ronnie covered with blankets up to their necks.
"What the?!" I yelled. They both looked like deer caught in headlights. "Kirstin? What's going on here?" She sighed heavily and looked at me
"Rayne, I'll explain myself. Just let me get dressed" she said
"Ronnie, get dressed too. I want to talk to both of you!" I said storming back to my bedroom to get dressed.
A few minutes later I was in the kitchen making breakfast for Malachai when Kirstin and Ronnie walked in holding hands.
"Hey buddy!" exclaimed Ronnie ruffling Malachai's hair
"Malachai, you can eat in the living room today" I said handing him his plate. "Just be careful not to drop anything."
"Okay Mommy" he smiled walking off to the other room. I turned around and focused my attention onto Ronnie and Kirstin.
"Okay, so would you please care to explain what my three year old son saw up there?!"
"Well Ronnie called me and he apologized about the whole fight. He told me that he would get help"
"Kirstin, you trust people way too easily. Don't be surprised when this happens again ."
"Rayne, I'm really sorry. I apologize to both you and Monte. Also, Kirstin made me flush the drugs down the toilet, so your son is in a drug free home!" Ronnie said smiling
"Whatever, well like I said don't be surprised" I turned off the stove and walked into the living room sitting next to Monte.
"So what's up with those two?" he asked
"Kirstin, is trusting Ronnie way too easily. I just don't want to see her keep getting hurt by him." I replied
"Well let's just things turn around and work out for them''
"They better."
