His Tragic Magic- Nobody's Home

*Monte's POV*

I came back from the park with my son and I took notice that the house was quiet. A little too quiet.

"Rayne?" I called. I walked up the steps and looked in the bedrooms. There's no sign of Rayne anywhere. Where'd she go?

"Daddy!" Malachai yelled. I ran down the steps to where my son was, standing in the dining room with a note in his little hand. "Daddy, what is this?"

"Let me see that" I said as he handed over the piece of paper. I unfolded it and began to read it: Monte, I am so sorry I put you through all this pain. I guess I kissed Craig because a lot of old feelings came back, but I have new feelings for you! And only you Monte! Tell Kirstin I'm sorry if I caused anything between her and Craig. I'm sorry for everything I did to you guys. So so sorry- Rayne.

I crumpled up the note, picked up Malachai and into the car. I dropped Malachai off at my parents and went looking for Rayne. I picked my phone up and dialed Kandice's number.

"Hello?" she answered

"Kandice? Is Rayne at your house?" I asked

"No, why?"

"We got into a fight last night, we slept in different rooms. I took Malachai to the park this morning, we got home, Rayne was gone! She left a note apologizing for everything.. and I just have to find her Kandice!"

"Meet up with me and Max. We're going to help you find her."

*End POV*

*Rayne's POV*

As it got darker I walked deeper into the woods until I started to see the tombstones up ahead. This is the place, the place where I can always talk to her. My younger sister.

*Monte's POV*

"Dude, its startin' to get dark out there and the rain is coming down pretty hard" Craig said

"I don't care, I have to find her. I'm not going to lose Rayne" I said

"Wait! Pull over!" ordered Kirstin

"Why?" I asked pulling the car over to the side of the road.

"I know these woods, they lead up to the cemetery"

"Why would Rayne be in the cemetery?"

"Because when she was fifteen her younger sister passed away. Whenever Rayne would run away she'd come here" Kirstin said getting out of the car.

"You're not walking through these dark ass woods!" Craig warned pulling back her arm

"But she's my best friend! I have to find her!"

"No, I'll go. I made her upset" I said walking out into the pouring rain and heading into the woods. I noticed what looked like pathway of rocks and started following them. I walked farther up the path until I came across a beat up picket fence, it was already open. Someone was here. I walked in looking around tombstones to see if I could spot Rayne anywhere. Nothing.

*Rayne's POV*

It was raining pretty hard, but I didn't care if I got sick or wet. I was where I could think and talk to my little sister Noelle. I was staring off into the distance when a dark figure started to approaching me. I started to panic, so I got up from the ground hoping to escape from this person and make it to the exit. I looked back for a short second and this person was running after me and they weren't slow either!

My heart felt like it was going to explode, so my feet picked up and I ran into the woods hearing footsteps behind me. I tripped over a tree root in the ground and thought 'I'm going to die'. I crawled over to a tree to help myself up and hopefully run again. The figure made their way closer to me. I got just enough strength to pull myself up and stand getting ready to run again.

This person grabbed me by the shoulders and I started to pull away from them as best as I could.

"Let me go!" I screamed pushing them away

"Rayne!" his voice yelled

"Monte?!" I questioned

"What the hell are you doing out here?! I've been looking for you all day!"

"Monte, let me go!"

"No! I'm not going to let you go! Not now or ever!" he said crashing his lips onto mine. "I forgive you, I understand what you wrote about old feelings, it happens. I love you and care for you so much and its never going to change!" We kissed in the pouring rain for a good 45 minutes, but to me it felt like forever.

We made our way back to the car and got in where I must of apologized to Craig and Kirstin about seventy times. Even though they kept saying it was 'Ok.' The good news is that Craig and I are really great friends and my friendship with Kirstin is still strong. I couldn't be happier.

When we got home I walked into the house and was tackled by Max and Kandice. Mostly Max though.

"Where have you been young lady!? You had us worried sick! That's it, you're grounded!" Max yelled

"Max, be quiet. Are you ok, Rayne?" Kandice asked

"Yeah, I'm fine, just wet." I laughed pointing to my dripping clothes

"Well let's get you upstairs into some dry, warm clothes" said Kirstin as we made our way up the steps.

"Wait, where's my son?"

"He's with my parents for the night. I'll pick him up in the morning, babe" Monte said. I smiled nodding my head 'okay' knowing my son was safe and alright.

After a nice hot shower and a cup of tea I found myself all wrapped up in blankets and my fiancé's arms. Nice and warm I wouldn't trade it for anything else.

"I'm really sorry about today" I said

"Its okay. All that matters is that you're home and safe" Monte said resting his chin on top of my head

"But I'm really sorry about kissing Craig"

"I forgive you, it was a mistake. Old feelings caught up with you, I love you Rayne and its never going to change." I smiled at Monte and kissed him softly on the lips.

"I love you" whispered

"I love you too."
