It's been seven months after what happened between Kirstin and I. And Monte. I apologized to both of them for flipping out and causing a fight. Monte explained himself to me and said that he didn't know why he kissed Kirstin. He said it was the spur of the moment. I understood what he meant and I accepted his apology. Kirstin apologized to me as well, he though I had my share of the drama too. But its over with.
Kirstin and Charlotte are back living with us after I learned that Ronnie went to jail and he's going to be spending a good time in there. Even though the situation was bad, I was happy that I got my best friend back in my house. Another reason for me to be happy is that Monte and I's triplets are doing good and my doctor said I should have them in November. The bad thing is that I look and feel so fat! Plus, I'm on bed rest Ugh, I was laying on the bed staring at my huge stomach when Monte walked in.
"Heyy! Momma, how are you feeling?" he asked taking a seat next to me
"Like a fat whale!" I pouted
"But, we got two more months and we'll get to hold em'!"
"Yeah, but I haven't really felt them moving today. Just a little this morning, but then they just stopped."
"Rayne, don't worry. They're probably all crowded in there. Sibling rivalry." Monte chuckled rubbing my stomach. I bet it would be crowded in there? I smiled at him and closed my eyes. Someone knocked on the door, I opened my eyes and saw Kirstin standing there.
"Hey, Rayne. You got a moment?" she asked
"Yeah, come on in." I smiled. I noticed she had a white gift bag with her as she walked over to the bed. Kirstin sat on the edge of the bed and handed me the bag. "Kirstin?"
"I got you something for the triplets." she smiled. I reached my hand in the bag and pulled out a small music box with three individual picture frames. "Its a music box, where you can put each of their pictures in it. I saw it at the gift shop and I had to buy it for you."
"Thank you, Kirstin. I'll be sure to put this in their room." I smiled and extended my arms hugging my best friend. I quickly pulled away when I felt a sharp pain go through me.
"Rayne?" Monte questioned
"I'm ok. It's just my back, it's been hurting all day. Probably from laying like this. Monte, I want to go downstairs."
"Yeah! I'll help you, babe." Monte walked over to my side of the bed and lifted me up under the arms. Kirstin held her hand behind my back just in case. I walked over to the mirror and looked at myself. "You look so beautiful, babe." I looked over at Monte and gave him a look that said: Shut up. I was escorted down the steps, like a time bomb and set on the couch. Felt good to get out of the bed.
I know I was supposed to be on bed rest, but you have to move around sometime! I felt another pain go through my back again to which Kirstin took notice of this.
"Rayne, are you sure you're ok? You said you were feeling these pains all day. Are you sure its your back?"
"Yeah, its my back. I'm sure, would you up help me, please? This is like the eighth time I have to pee!"
"That's pregnancy for ya!" Kirstin helped me up and I made my way to the first level bathroom. Making my way to the door, I felt a small pop and a gush of water trickle down my leg. Was that my? NO! It couldn't be. Its too soon!
"Monte! Kirstin!" I yelled causing the two to run over to me.
"RAYNE! Your water just broke!" Kirstin screamed
"YES! I know that! We-"
"Kirstin, go upstairs and get Rayne's bag. Come on, Rayne let's get into the car." Monte ushered me out of the house and helped me get in the car. This can't be happening now?! Its too soon for the babies to be born. Kirstin walked out with my bag and handed it to Monte through the window.
"Kirstin" I cried looking at her. "Keep an eye on Malachai, please?"
Kirstin smiled and held my hand. "Of course. Call me when you guys get there." Monte backed out of the driveway and drove off to the hospital. I was placed in a wheelchair and wheeled up to my hospital room, my doctor walked in and checked me out.
"Rayne, we have to get you into surgery quickly. One of the babies has gotten into trouble and is causing distress for the other two. We're going to have to perform an emergency C-section." she said getting things prepped. Monte and I just stared at each other in shock. The surgery team came in, getting me onto the stretcher and wheeled me to the O.R.
They wheeled me inside the room, placing my IVs in me, and setting up the incubators for the babies when they would be born. The doctors made Monte put on scrubs and stand behind me, waiting for our babies to be born. I was given a small sedative and numbing medicine. Everything in the room looked like a blur. I was in and out of consciousness as the surgeons cut me open. I could hear the doctors and Monte talking to me, but no cries yet.
A few moments later I heard the sounds of a baby crying. After that I blacked out.
