Part 10 - In-N-Out

After the photo shoot was over, we headed over to Jacob's office to view the photos. We didn't go the other photo with the black dresses, Jacob thought it would be too raunchy to publish into his magazines.

I sat next to Abbey, she couldn't resist but sit next to Jamie. She honestly has a thing for him. All day she kept talking to him and laughing. And he was too! I won't be surprised if she ends up doing something stupid that will make themselves be in total jeopardy. Abbey looked at me and smiled,

"I was saving that spot for Jamie!" she whispered.

I raised my hands and put them above my shoulders as if saying Okay, Jesus. Don't bite my ass off. I got up and sat next to the love seat. Jamie sits next to me instead and Alex sees that, he walks over to Jamie and I.

"Jamie sit with your bird, she's my bird." He points at me while saying that. My heart flushed completely.

Jamie did the same gesture as I did with Abbey, I giggled at that. Jamie got up and sat next to Abbey. Alex watched him left and sat down next to me putting an arm around me and brings me in close and kisses my forehead. It's like his lips were so warm because i completely got hot and red over that. My cheeks were burning because of that. I let out a long sigh and closed my eyes. I felt so comfortable here, in his arms.

"Lily wake up." Jacob comes into my head. I open my eyes and squint at him. He smiles at me, and i shake my head.

"You fell asleep already?" Alex asked as he tries to look over at me.

"I was, but then Jacob came in my head and woke me up." I looked at Jacob.

Jacob laughs hard; I never thought I will hear this man laugh his soul out. He finally stops laughing after like 5 minutes.

"You alright there?" Abbey raises her brow.

Jacob nods, "Yeah. Lily, you're fucking hilarious."

I shrugged, "Didn't know I had that in me."

Jacob lets out a chuckle and sighs, "You're going to be great to work with."

"Oh! And what about me?" Abbey interrupts.

Jacob looks over at her, "You're always quiet. You never speak up, until now." he smiles at her and she crosses her arms.

"Fine, I'll just speak my mind." Abbey announces.

"In this case, you'll love Abbey more than me Jacob." I said.

Jacob let out another laugh, "Where have you girls been in my life?!"

We both laughed and said, "A strip club."

Jacob's smile disappeared, "Seriously?"

I felt like this was a mistake, I felt like we shouldn't have said anything about that.

"You guys worked at a strip club? Where the hell were your parents?" he asked in a generous voice.

Me and Abbey looked at each other, Abbey spoke, "Our parents were terrible to us, so we did whatever it took to leave the house. So we worked there and the owner of the strip took us in and helped us out and ever since, we worked there for like 10 years."

"Jesus Christ." Jacob mumbles.

"I'm sorry, if you don't want us to work here, we understand. Thank you for the shoot though, hope you have an amazing publish." I said as I got up, Abbey did too. Alex grabbed my wrist but my wrist slipped out of his hand like butter. We walked towards the door and as I opened the door-

"Wait." Jacob spoke up.

I turned to face him with tears in my eyes, "Did you think we wanted to become strippers? We both couldn't get into college because of our parents. They didn't have enough money to pay for us to University. I was the Valedictorian and Abbey was Salutatorian in my school. We didn't want to be where we were but it happened. I couldn't stand living with my fucking parents because I was basically a fucking slave there. Hell, I was like fucking Cinderella. Not to mention I've been abused. I had to leave. Abbey's witnessed it, and I witnessed Abbey going through the same thing with her family. It wasn't what we wanted but we did whatever it took."
