"Nate, honey, you're up?" It was Nate's mom, Becky.
The door opened and he hid his phone under his pillow in a haste.
"Yeah, what's up?" Nate asked as he sat up.
"Just wanted to remind you that you need to stop by the hospital after school for your check up tomorrow." She said with a small smile.
He pointed at the calender on his bedside table where the date 16 was marked and 'mom's hospital' was written on it. "Yeah, I know."
"Okay, honey, good night. Sleep tight, baby." She said, blew a kiss, and shut the door behind her.
He took out his phone after making sure his mom was not coming back again as he heard the master bedroom's door closing with a soft thud. Richard was still on call. He put the phone to his ear. "Hey."
"Can't mess you up tomorrow, then." His boyfriend sounded very remorseful.
Nate only chuckled in reply. He had got such a baby for a boyfriend.
