"Hey, what's wrong?" Richard asked as soon as the other boy picked up.
"Oh, I don't know. The woman... she-she might be dead." Nate's voice shook as he replied. "She has to go to OT immediately."
"It will be fine, Nate. Hey, I think she can't check you today. You're free right, let's go somewhere, then." Richard offered, thinking it could help his boyfriend to get his mind off.
Nate turned around and looked at Richard incredulously. "Are you crazy? I can't skip. Doctor Foxx will check me instead of mom, now. I've got to get over it today; otherwise, I'll be dragged here again."
"Dr Foxx, huh? Is this person a male or female?" He asked and could see the frown on Nate's face across the road distinctly.
"Male, why?"
"Nothing. Go, or you'll be late." Richard replied, but Nate could hear in his voice that it was clearly not nothing.
