"Ok," she muttered into the fabric of my jeans.

"ORI!" I yelled. She rolled over and sat up. Her face looked a little pale, but I didn't mention it. She sat in front of me in between my legs. Ori ran in with his bass. He was 22 and pretty tall. He had brown hair on the top of his head with platinum blonde highlights. He took of his aviator glasses and put them on his shirt. He held the bass and started playing.

He played the bass line for "Twight Zone" by Golden Earring.

  "You're pretty good," she said.

"You aren't so bad yourself," he winked back. She looked up at me and I chuckled.

"Ok, you can be in my band. But we still need a drummer," she trailed off.

"Y'know, I might be able to help you. You have a newspaper ad, so let's see if anyone has written us back yet." I say with a grin as she looked up at me.

  "So I'm in?" Ori reassures.

"Yep, we just need a drummer." I nodded. Ori started towards the door and closed it behind him.

"Duffy, I have a headache." She complains. I grab a bottle of pills off the nightstand and give her my cup of water.

"Take this, it should help." I said as I handed her two pills.

"Thanks Duffy. I love you." Well that caught me off guard. She giggled at my baffled expression.

"Well, I love you too, honey." I said as she laid back down on my chest. I rested my chin on her head and held her tightly against my body. I kissed the top of her head and she turned, now laying on top of me.

She pushed me down so that I was laying on the bed and she leaned down and gave me a long kiss. It easily lasted a few minutes, but it was innocent and warm. Yet again my head was spinning and I felt disoriented. I melted into the kiss and held her hips. She cupped her hands around my face and held it still. She pulled away for a second and my eyes shot open because of the loss of contact.

"I love you, McKagan," she whispered as she gave me a big hug. I wrapped one of my arms around her back while the other one held her head.

"I love you, Izabelle." I said in response. She giggled at the use of her real name. After a while the pills had made her sleepy and she fell asleep in my arms. I didn't mind though, she needed the rest. I was still awake when Izzy walked in.

"Hey," he whispered as he opened the door.

"Hey, Iz." I said back.

He walked over and sat on the end of the bed, looking down at Baz.

"Y'know, you're really lucky to have her." He said.

"What do you mean?" I questioned.

"Well, the other night, at her show, a drunk Axl was about to beat me out of my wits, but she saved my ass." He said quietly.

"Aww," I sighed. I leaned down and kissed her warm cheek, earning a content hum from the girl. Izzy gave a soft chuckle at the sound. He rubbed her calf and then preceded to leave the room.

I kissed the top of her head as she started to stand up, steadying herself. She gripped the bed frame and wobbled a little. I got up and held her waist so she wouldn't fall.

"Where ya going, babe?" I asked.

"Mmm... I need the bathroom." She said. I helped her over to the door and let her go when she got to the door. She washed her hands and came out, then embracing me in a hug.

"I don't feel great," she moaned.

"Would you like to get milkshakes?" I suggested. She nodded yes and I helped her down the stairs and into the car, accompanied by Steven, who was very excited about sugar.

We drove off and sang along to the radio while we were in the car. After a few playful jokes and poking fun, we got to Steak N' Shake and ate.

"Steven, can you relax?" I said as I watched Steven hit the table with his fingers as if they were drumsticks.

"You gave me sugar, so you started it." He retorted. Baz giggled.

"Hey guys, guess what?" She said.

"What's up?" I asked as Steven just made and intrigued expression.

"They moved the date of my next gig to tomorrow." She mentioned.

"And, being sick and all, I got to write a few songs. I can perform my own set!" She exclaimed.

"That's great!" I yelled a little to loud. Everyone in the restaurant looked at me, and then went back to their food. I ducked and chuckled a little.

"Someone's a little too excited," she rolled her eyes. I guess she's starting to get back to the way she used too.

"But anyway, I won't be able to hang out tonight. I have work."

  "Work as in—" Steven shouted.

"Shhhh," she put her finger over his lips.

  "I forgot, sorry."

  "What?" I asked in confusion.

  "Nothing,"

"No, something." I responded. She jolted up out of her seat.

"I said, NOTHING." She shouted, then walking out of the building. I looked over at Steven with a confused face.

  "She's embarrassed."

"But why? It's just a job," I responded.

"She's a dealer," he whispered. Now I get it. My eyes widened and I realized I shouldn't have said anything.

"And now I have to calm her down," Steven sighed as he stood up with his shake.

  "Sorry," I muttered.

I watched through the window as he sat on the bench outside and tried talking to her. She took a drag from her cigarette and tried to walk away, but Steven grabbed her wrist. He sat her down and from what I could tell didn't say anything. Just looked at her with his hand on hers. I guess he had done "The Steven." He could basically get anyone to calm down with just a glance. Something about him was relaxing. It was like his superpower. She ruffled his hair and walked off, leaving him looking stunned. I walked out.

"No one has ever just walked away like that," he chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. "I guess she's just sick of us," he shrugged.

"Eh, it's not you. It's me. I should have said anything." I say as I handed him a cancer stick. He pulls out a lighter and takes a long drag.

"Do you think we should try to find her?" Steven suggests.

"Nah, I think we should let her be. She'll come around." I said with a wink.
