A New Beginning

Chapter 6

Wednesday Night/Ava

While I'm doing my homework Cole comes over and helps me with watching Lilly.

"Lilly honey, what would you like for dinner tonight?"

Lilly "I would like chicken nuggets and french fries mommy please."

"Sure, honey."

As I pull out the things Lilly wants for dinner out of the freezer. I hear my phone go off. After I get everything into the oven and started. I pulled my phone out and saw that I had 2 messages 1 from Cole and 1 from Blake. I open my messages.

Cole: I love you
Ava: I love you too babe

Blake: So the girls and I were wondering if we could come over tonight and help plan Lilly's birthday party?
Ava: That would be great just so ya'll know I'm making dinner right now and Cole is here.
Blake nothing new about that now is there? lol
Ava: shut up:) love you girls see you about 6: 30. We are eating dinner at 6.
Blake: ok see ya'll then

As we sat down to eat dinner Lilly said she wanted to sit between Cole and I. We laughed when she said that.

"The girls are going to be here about 6:30 they want to help with planning a birthday party."

Lilly "Can I help plan my party?"

"You don't want it to be a surprise?"

Lilly "Well, my party can be a surprise but can I decide who comes to my party?"

"That is a great idea baby girl because we need to know how big the party is base on the people that are coming. So, after dinner we'll sit down and figure how many people you want. ok baby."

Lilly "ok, mommy."

We finished eating dinner. Cole said "he'll clean the dishes while Lilly and I get paper and pen."

10 minutes later we are sitting at the table making a guest list when the girls walk in. I texted Kelly and told her what we were doing and they thought it was a great idea. I told them they could walk in when they got here.

"Ok baby girl, that is every one you know."

Lilly "Mommy, I miss daddy and uncle B."

"I do to baby but you know what they are always watching over us to make sure nothing bad happens to us and that we are always happy. Ok baby."

Lilly just nods her head. Then ask "Mommy, will I get a daddy one day?"

"Baby, of you'll get a daddy some day but I don't know when."

Lilly "Ok mommy, can I go watch tv?"

"Sure baby."

So, we started talking about what we are going to have at Lilly's party. 3 hrs later and we were done with the planning. Every one Lilly wanted at the party we called while planning and every one said they'll come. So, she is gonna have 16 people at her party and have it here at our house. The list we made for the guest some people wanted to bring things that helps out alot. After I got Lilly to bed I went back to the kitchen to look at the party planning we did.

Cole "How come she didn't invite your dad and stepmom?"

"Because my dad has never showed any interest in getting to know her neither has my stepmom. I don't even talk to them and they don't talk to us. they didn't even want to see Lilly after she was born because I had her at a young age so my father disowned me from that point on that's another reason. But I got pregnant when I was living with my dad. He sent me to my mom and when she found out I was pregnant she didn't turn me away and she wanted to meet the father to be. My dad never did. To my dad I was a whore slut of a daughter he never wanted. When I meet Kevin he stepped up to the father position and since that day he showed me love and cared for me like my rreal dad never did. I made him my real father from that day on. So, when I get married I'm gonna have Kevin walk me down the isle when it's time. He has been the best grandpa my daughter could of asked for."

Cole "Wow babe, I'm sorry to hear that but I'm glad Kevin step up."

"Me too."
