A New Beginning

Chapter 14

Cole

I'm out side waiting by my car with Logan, Ty, Noah, Sammie and Kelly were waiting for Blake and my baby Ava to come out. I hear a ding and Sammie pulled her phone out of her pocket. Then Sammie dropped her bag and Kelly did the same but then they took off running.

I looked at my friends and then we decide to follow them to see what's going on. We wind up going back in the school and down a couple of hallways. We find ourselves in front of Ava's last class. Then we see what's really going on Blake was beating on Bizz's back. Then Sammie and Kelly are beating on Jackson because they both have Ava pinned bewteen the two.

We run over and help the girls. I can see fear in Ava's eyes and see she is struggling against the two. My boys and I jumped into action. The girls saw us coming and smiled because they knew those fuckers where in trouble for messing with Ava or any girl like that.

Blake stopped beating on Bizz's back when I was close enough. I grabbed him with my left arm going around his neck and pulled back hard to get him away from Ava. Once Ava and I made eye contact I noticed that she was crying and shaking.

I lost it when I saw how my girl was I started beating the shit out of him while my friends had Jackson. I noticed Blake and the other girls were dragging Ava away from us. When I  felt like the guys had enough I motioned for my friends to let's go.

As we started to walk down the hall I saw Ava coming back at my way then she took off running into my arms. As soon as I had her wrapped up in my arms she started bawling and held on to me tightly. I picked her up and carried her to my car.

"Alright girls I'm going to take Ava home see y'all around."

"Bye" all the girls said at the same time.

I got her in the passenger side and closed the door then moved to the driver side door. We drove off to Ava's house.

When we pulled up I turned to look at Ava and she wouldn't even look at me which is weird when not long ago she ran into my arms crying.

Ava "thanks, see you around."

I watched her get out of the car and walk to her house. I got out and followed on her heel. She gets to the door and unlocks it then tries the close the door on me nope not happening we are going to talk.

"Baby, what is going on?"

Ava "nothing"

"Not buying it honey, something is up and we are going to talk."

Ava "I don't want to talk I want to forget."

"No baby, we aren't forgetting what happened I want to know what happened that made you so scared back there."

Ava "they both told me that they wanted to put a baby in me and there was nothing you could do about it."

I stepped in the door because she backed away like I was gonna hurt her. I closed the door and stood there and then she walked over to me.

Ava "I was so scared of what they were gonna do that I froze."

"Baby, no one is going to do anything to you. I know I'm not always going to be around you but I need you to believe and trust that I won't let anything happen to you. I love you and Lilly more than anything."

Ava " we love you too."

"I have an idea why don't we relax in front of the TV and you take a nap and when Lilly gets home I'll take her out and we'll get dinner and dessert. How does that sound?"

Ava "babe you are amazing and that sounds great plus I know a little girl named Lilly would be happy to do that stuff with you. (Looking at the clock) Actually Lilly should be home in 30 mins so she would be happy to see you and do things with you."

"That makes me happy to hear babe. Would you be against me getting a dog for this house to protect you and Lilly?"

Ava "No, Lilly has been asking about a dog for a while now."

"Ok, I wanted to ask before just acting."

Ava "I appreciate it babe."

I left Ava on the couch to go sit on the front steps of the porch to wait for miss Lilly. Not even a whole 30 mins later Sally is pulling in the driveway with Lilly.

Lilly jumped out of the car when Sally put it in park. Lilly came over and hugged me tightly around my legs then asked where her mommy is. I explained then told her what we are doing and she jumped up and down happily.
