A New Beginning

Chapter 3

Cole

Man, I wonder if I should tell her that I have always had a crush on her for the longest time. I know I throw her off when I say things like that. Makes me wonder if she feels the same way about me that I do about her. I love spending time with Lilly and Ava.

Ava "Come in and make your self comfy Lilly is eating lunch right now."

"Thanks I will make myself comfy. I love the pictures you have hanging up in the hallway. I remember that."

Lilly sees me coming and gets up and comes running over to me and hugs my legs. I hug her back and kiss the top of her head then turn her so she can go back to the table and finish her lunch.

I always wonder what a baby would look like that Ava and I made together and it makes me laugh how well Brian knew I had a thing for Ava to begin with.

Ava "Would you like anything to drink or have some thing to eat?"

"I think I'd like a coke if you have one and if you and I could talk that would be nice too."

Ava "What would you like to talk about? Do you want a cup and ice for your coke?"

"Yes please, I would like to talk to you about my feelings."

Ava "Ok, give me a second and I'll move Lilly into the tv room."

As she moved Lilly into the tv room and turned on one of her favorite shows she likes to watch. Ava comes back into the kitchen and gets her self a drink then comes back and sits down at the table across from me.

Ava "So, what's on your mind Cole?"

Damn, I love the way she says my name.

"Well, For the longest time I've had a crush and a long time thing for you."

Ava "Well, I was not expecting that but it's good to know because for the longest time I've had a thing for you as well. But when you moved and I thought I'd never see you again I moved on and that's when I met Gab Lilly's dad. I fell in love with him and we were togther a whole year before we had Lilly. I was with Gab for 5 yrs. Did Brian know about your feelings about me?"

"Yes, but he wanted you to hear it from me and not him. I'm sorry to hear about Gab and everything you've been through. You have always been in my thoughts since the day I left. Aren't you still in school?"

Ava "Thank you, Yes I am but I'm doing homeschool on line and have a teacher that comes over every friday to check in with me to make sure I understand everything I am doing."

"Is Lilly in anything?"

Ava "Every where I looked is full so next yr she'll be in school. While I do more schooling online."

"I would like to start something with you if you like?"

Ava "I would love to start something with you but we would have to start off slow. I hope you are ok with that. I know it's not what you are probly looking forward to."

"Ava as long as I'm with you I really don't give a shit but just as long as we can hug, hold hands, and hopefully alot of kissing."

Ava "that's fine with me but do you think you can add cuddling into that mix?"

"So, alot of kissing, hugging, holding hands, and cuddling I will take it. Will you let me take you on a date's."

Ava starts laughing and her head goes back. Man, it's a great feeling hearing her laugh and getting to see it and knowing i'm the one that put it there.

Ava "Yes, I will let you take me on dates but just so you know Lilly will be on those as well."

"That is fine with me I love spending time with the two of you."

Ava "Well that's good to know. Because how ever I decide to date I want them to be comftable round Lilly. But from what I've seen she likes you so to me that's a good sign."

"That's good you had me worried when you started talking about dating someone." I laugh.

Ava "You have nothing to be worried about because you have filled the spot so you are good."

"That's good to know too. Would you be ok if I give you a kiss?"

Ava just nods her head then watch's me as I stand up then pull her up to stand in front of me. Before I kissed her I whispered this is a dream come true and then lightly kissed her before I deepend it. I enjoyed every moment while she kissed me back.

I hung out for a few hours with Ava and Lilly. We had pizza and salad  for dinner then we made an ice cream sundae for dessert. Before I left I hugged and kissed Lilly's head then I hugged and kissed Ava good night.
