The Days of Isolation

Chapter Six-Wheres the love

Just like we agreed on we ate lunch together, and up on the roof.

"How's your wound?" I ask him a little nervous, but casually.

"It's pretty good." He shrugs. "It's not as deep as I thought."

We ended up eating and talking and laughing the whole time. Acting like dorks and things. It was so weird and different.

When I got home was still in a good mood, thinking: I don't know HOW but I just made an enemy my best friend in a day.

I open the door and my mom is at the door baring her fangs and my eyes go red once I notice. "What?!" I asked surprised and annoyed.

"I thought you were a halfbreed for a second." She scowls.

"What?" I say as she is stupid "Are you stupid!" I sniff myself.. She's right, I did have some lingering human smells.

She sniffs again, "You have human smells all over you!" She barks.

I hesitate thinking it's probably because I spent so much time with Dalton today but I roll my eyes, "Obviously, I am going to a HUMAN school." I say the best excuse I can.

My mom studies me for awhile but soon nods, "Guess you are right. Just hurry with a shower." She orders me pointing upstairs

After the shower I decided to stay in my room. Which I slowly fall asleep listening to music...

The next day Im going to school and a bunch of girls are staring at me and murmuring.

I glare at them and they get a fearful smell. I laugh and head to class.

"God, these humans are annoying." I say to Dalton as I sit down.

"Mm-hmm." He says staring at the teachers board.

"Like all the females are whispering about something, obviously about me!" I say annoyed

"Wooow." He replies zoned out.

Knowing he's not paying attention to me I stop talking to him and try to listen in on the girls in her classroom.

"That's her, right?" One girl says.

"I think so, it looks like her." Another says.

"Ugh. She thinks she's all that." The first one replies.

"Get in your seats!" The teacher interrupts, making me jump. The girls snicker.

After class I'm getting my things when some girls come up from behind me. "Yes?" I say, annoyed.

"You're the goth girl who is trying to get close to dalton aren't you?!" The lead girl says accusingly.

"What are you-" I try to say, but get cut off by a punch from the lead girls friend.

"We know you're trying to use your good looks to get him to fall in love with you!" The lead yells at me. They continue punching and kicking me. "Admit it and we'll leave you alone!"

I sigh almost at the brick of anger "fine. You're. Right." I say through my teeth even though it's a lie.

"Ha! I knew it! Say it in a full sentence! Say it!!" The lead girl sound psychopathic.

"Fine, I'm only tricking Dalton.. Now le-" they stop and I see that there was more to just saying this to there scheme.

Because Dalton was standing right there
