" The Cooler Accident. "

Students of both towns spread out across the football field. Shadyside teenagers choose to stay on the left side of the field, while Sunnyvale teenagers choose to stay on the right side; choosing to segregate themselves. The only people who stand out in the field were the once who were forced: Football players, Cheerleaders, and Band members.

"This isn't how I wanted to be here tonight. I wanted to be here as a fan. sour Sunnyvale Devils and your Shadyside Witches throw down some good old American Football. Instead I find myself here as a husband, father, as a neighbor. And, yes, mayor of Sunnyvale. And on behalf of all of the people in my town, I say all of Sunnyvale mourns with you." The Sunnyvale Mayor, Matthew Goode, says standing on a small stage with a microphone in front of him, looking at all the students ahead of him

"Yeah, really looks like they give a damn." Kate says as she, Deena, and River look to their right where the Sunnyvalers are standing. "The only Sunnyvalers who came are they one who had to. The Football team and the Cheerleaders."

Kate rolls her eyes as she and River turn away, and back towards the Mayor who's still going on about the topic that had forced everyone to be there. The two teenage girls shake their head as they not longer want to be there. While the girls bore themselves while listening to the speech, Kate hold the cup of soda she had got from the concession stand in front of River, allowing her to take a sip out of it. Neither of the girls caring that they've shared a straw.

While the two girls watch Matthew the Mayor of Sunnyvale, Deena's eyes roam the crowd of people looking for one person, Sam. Her eyes finally land on her, as well as a guy. Both Sam and the guy hold each other in their arms, giggling not caring about anyone but themselves. He spins her around so their chests are now touching just so she can squeeze her ass, only making tears form in Deena's eyes watching her ex-girlfriend stand with another person.

The lights that brightened the stadium begin to shut down as candles got passed around for each personal hold, each one being lit; as well as flyer in remembrance of Heather. The dimmed organs tone from the candles give everyone just the right amount of light to see around the field.

"My family had been in Sunnyvale for generations, and now my brother is mayor and I your sheriff. We've prospered here. And yet, I've seen you, our neighbors in Shadyside, suffer tragedy after tragedy. It's easy in times like this to drown and question why... Why did this happen? But I know too well there are no answers that will provide relief. There's no peace found in the past. We must not fall into darkness. We must look to the light." The Mayors brother, Nick Goode begins his speech,

"Yeah! What we should do is light a fuse and burn down Shittyside." The captain of the Sunnyvale Football team says, causing a few people to turn towards him.
