Chaper 16 - Royal Ball part 1

Y/n POV

I wake up from another nightmare and quickly take in my room, making sure my father isn't here. Sighing I take my phone off its charger and check the time to see its 5:31 am. I turn my alarm off then decide to get ready for work, even if its early.

I shower, shave, brush my hair, brush my teeth, get dressed in the new work uniforms (Nifty gave out the uniforms to everyone so we would have them today), did my make up and then did my hair. I look in the mirror admiring the new work outfit. my outfit is a red and pink dress with black tights.

Checking the time I see Its now 6:28 am. I shrug then after looking myself over in the mirror, making sure I look decent, I then put my phone and headphones into my uniform pockets. I unlock my door then, closing it behind me, I head down the hall and downstairs.

I notice I'm the only one awake so I plug my headphones into my phone and put my music on. I press shuffle and the song L is a bad word by Kiiara comes on.

Deciding to make a bunch of different kinds of waffles I get to making them. I move my hips to the beat of the song and wave my hands around and use my magic to help cook everything. I zone in to the music and start singing the lyrics. I watch as my magic flows freely from my hands and I smile and continue to dance and sing the lyrics to the song.

By the end of the song I'm already half way done the waffles. And then the song LOVELOST by Margø comes on. I laugh and begin singing and dancing to this song as well. I sway my hips and begin setting everything onto the table almost done breakfast. After that song a couple more songs come on and after about 5 songs everything is done. I use my magic and set the food and juice on the table and sigh. The last song then ends and I shut my music off and take my ear buds out.

I then jump and screech as I hear clapping from the doorway. I look over to see Alastor standing there smiling at me.

"What a performance! That was truly remarkable my dear! You have an amazing voice! And you are a wonderful dancer as well!" Alastor claps and praises me.

I shrug "I could be better, I just do it cause it makes me happy and forget my problems y'know? Nothing special really" I turn to my phone and see only about 30 minutes have passed.

He laughs "well my dear, normally when demons say they sing and dance they are rather horrible at it. I personally think you are rather wonderful."

"Yeah yeah whatever. Anyways why you up?" I look away from him and make sure everything is in place on the table.

"I tend to wake up before everyone else. Just a habit I have. May I ask why you are up so early?"

"Had a nightmare and I didnt want to go back to sleep."

"Didnt Angle accompany you?"

"No, he was either working or already asleep. Plus I didnt want to bother him on the night of the royal ball." I turn back to him and sigh.

"Anyways do you want to go get everyone up for me?"

He chuckles and bows "As you wish my doe" he then turns away and disappears.

I sigh and shake my head slightly. Checking the time once more and see it's now 7:06 am. I sit down in my own spot and begin putting some waffles onto my plate.

One after another everyone else comes down to eat as well. Everyone thanks me and compliments me on my cooking. I just smile and tell them thanks.

Everyone then (except Angie) thanks Nifty and me for the staff outfits.

The outfits are a mix of red, pink, black, golden yellow, and white.

Charlie's outfit consists of a red vest with a white undershirt, and black swirls on the ends of the sleeves, and says "Happy Hotel Manager" on the front above where her heart should be, in golden yellow. She also has black pants and black marry Jane's.
