We're Going On A Trip!

It wasn't until later that next day that Shoto and I would be going out, so I decided to get some homework done and help around the house. Kind of a simple Saturday morning. "Y/N, breakfast!" My aunt calls out to the yard. I had gone outside to do some yard work and then to finish out my homework, trying to do everything I could to perfect my quirk.
"How's your training going?" She asks as she pours me a cup of tea. "So far so good. I'm trying to master using both at once without thinking, but so far it's not working." I say a little defeated. "Well, you're at one of the best hero schools in Japan, I'm sure you'll figure it out." Her tone was comforting, easing my worries as we talked.
As breakfast ended, I cleared the table and washed all of the dishes, trying to give my aunt a chance to kick back and relax. "Thank you for helping, it means a lot." I just smile at her as I head back outside. I go back to my studies, reviewing my math and English. I was fairly good at English, but math was another story. I didn't want to overdue seeing Shoto today, so I decided to message Kiri.

You: Hey? I have a question?
Kiri: Shoot!
Y: Do you care to come over and help me with math? I'm stuck, dude.
K: Heck yeah! Be right over!😁

I smile at his enthusiasm and go back to my English homework until he arrived. To my surprise, it wasn't long before he was at my house, backpack in tow as he sat down in front of me. "Okay, let's get cracking!" I laugh at his statement before pulling out my textbook, praying this study session goes well.

~Time skip to 5 pm ~

One more hour. I only had one hour to get myself ready for my date. I was really confused as to where we were going as Shoto just sprung this on me. He did this a lot, but it was mainly when he would take me to my favorite restaurant or a movie; something small. But the way he talked about today, made me wonder if this was something more? I shrug off the thought as I hit the shower, washing away any dirt and leaves that had fallen into my hair from earlier.
As I got out, I began to look through my clothing, trying to find something to wear. It wasn't too hot, but it wasn't too cold either so I decided on something that was a little mix of both. I did my hair and makeup and called it a day. 5:45. I had finished with just enough time to kill with a small sketch before I get a text from Shoto: Here🙂

I raced out the front door, yelling to my aunt and siblings that I would be back later. My aunt didn't really question me as I had done most of the housework today, so it was nice to be able to leave without worry. She still doesn't know about Shoto and me as I know how she feels about his family. She was close friends with his mom and when she found out what his father did to Rei, it was a mess.
"Hey, beautiful." Shoto smiled as he kissed my cheek. "Hai!" I exclaimed as we got into the car. I smile as he puts on some soft music, his hand in mine as we drive. "Where are we going?" I ask him as we drove the countryside. "I can't say." He smirked as we continued our drive. After about an hour or so, we had made it to Tokyo. What are we doing here? I just shrug the thought away as Shoto parks the car before coming over to help me out. I curtsy to him as a token of thanks before he grabs my hand.
"Before you take me down an alley and murder me, can we get food? I'm starving." I let out a laugh as I watch his eyes grow wide at my statement. "I was joking babe, calm down." I nudge him playfully as we walk up to a soba stand. "I should've known." I chuckle as he orders two, handing one of them to me. I thank him as we take a seat, both of us enjoying our soba in happy silence. Once we were done, we began our walk once again, but this time to the train station.
"Okay. Please tell me where we're going." I say out of impatience, tugging on the sleeve of his shirt. "Nope." That's it. No emotion. Nothing. Asshole. I lean my head against him as we take the short train ride to our destination. Before we even got off the train, a blindfold covers my eyes. "Shotooooo." I groan, knowing he was going to keep this a secret as long as possible. He just gives a small chuckle as he takes my hand, leading us to God knows where.
I feel the blindfold come off my eyes after about 10 minutes and my mouth drops. THE CHERRY BLOSSOM GARDENS!!! I could not believe what I was seeing. "Surprise." He said with a large smile on his face. I was in utter awe at the beauty of the area that Shoto had to pull me along. "Come on, love." He chuckled as we begin to walk down the path. Me being me, I pulled out my phone to take pictures of the beautiful scenery. I of course got a few of Shoto without him noticing, and he captured some of me. We even had a professional photographer ask us if they could take our picture. "You really outdid yourself, Mr. Todoroki." I laugh as I enjoy a small cup of hot tea. "Anything to see you smile." He said proudly as we headed back towards the train station.

~time skip back to your house~

As we finally pulled back into my driveway, it was right around 11 pm. "I hope I got you back in time?" He inquired, not entirely sure if my aunt would be mad. "I should be fine. I've been out later than this before." I shrug as I exit the car. Shoto grabs my hand as we walk to the front door, stopping us just before the threshold. "I really enjoyed tonight. It was absolutely breathtaking." I smile as I hold his hands in mine. "I'm glad. You looked beautiful under the lights. Still do." He states cheekily, rubbing his thumbs on the backs of my hand. We stand in silence for a moment before he leans in and presses his lips to mine. They were warm and inviting, my knees growing weak as he places his hands on my hips.
As we break away after about a minute or so, all I could do was smile. "Well, it's late and you need to head home," I state as I grip the doorknob. "And you need sleep." He smiles as he pokes my cheek. "Goodnight Shoto Todoroki." "Goodnight Y/N L/N." I give him a soft smile and wave before entering the house, going straight to my room.
As I get ready for bed, I go through all of the pictures I took, smiling at all of the candid shots of Todoroki I had managed to capture. I made myself a mental note as I got into bed to get them printed out and framed, not wanting to forget a single moment.
