It was the first day back after break and I know I was ready to start studying again, especially since we had received an email that we would be training more as this week is the test for our provisional hero licensing! I was beyond excited to be able to finally hold that card and help those who need it most without getting in trouble! The test is next Saturday, so we have about a week to get our shit together to prove we can do this.
"It feels weird being back in class," Tsu states as we all enter the classroom. The class had decided to have breakfast together as a way to welcome in the new term as a group. "Agreed. But this week is supposed to get us super prepared for the licensing exam next week, so I'm stoked to start learning again!" I say with a smile as I sit down, Shoto leaning against my desk. "You have nothing to worry about. All you did was train while we were out," he chuckles as he sips his boba. I smile at his comment, playing with the lanyard in his pocket. "Thanks babe," I smile as I squeeze his hand.
"Settle down class. It's time to get started." Aizawa says as he walks into the room. Everyone quickly finds their seats and gathers up their things as we start to go over what we would be doing this term and what this next week would look like for us as students. It's super crazy to think that we could actually get hero licenses before we even graduate! I still feel like the little girl who dreamed of being a pro hero when she was younger.

........................

"Do you think we'll do more training or paper stuff this week?" Denki asks as we all sit down for lunch. The first two hours all we did was basic academic work, going over what we could possibly see on the licensing exam and then some basic pop quizzes. "I'm thinking more or less training since that's what a good portion of the exam will be on," Yaoyorozu answers as she piped in. Things between us have been civil, seeing as though she had finally learned her lesson.
I slurp my soba, zoning out as I read my book,  as I feel something hit my forehead. "What the fuck?" I mutter, looking up at Sero and Kiri laughing. I look down and notice a piece of chicken in my lap. I shake my head as I pop it in my mouth, going back to my book. "Do you ever stop studying?" Kiri chuckles as he throws another at me, breaking my focus again. "I do, but this is for fun." I say holding up my romance novel. "Ew. Romance," he says making a face, causing a laugh to leave my lips.
"Sorry I'm late," I feel a kiss to my cheek as Shoto joins us. "It's okay! Is everything okay?" I ask as I place a hand on his knee. Shoto had stayed behind to talk to All Might, which was a little concerning but I'm sure it was for a valid reason. "Yea, no worries," he says tilting his head as he gives me a soft smile. I nod as I go back to my food and book.
As lunch hour comes to an end, I feel a hand on my shoulder, causing me to stop. I watch as Shoto stands to the side waiting for me. I turn around to see Yaoyorozu, my eyebrow raised. "What?" I snip, crossing my arms over my book as I lean against the wall. "I want to squash any animosity between us. It's not healthy and is effecting performance," she says as she looks at me. I let out a slight laugh, pushing a blue strand behind my ear, narrowing my eyes at her. "Listen, and listen good sugar plum. What happened between us hasn't effected me one bit performance wise, it's only made me stronger because there is no one I can't stand more than you and it fuels my fire." I walk closer to her, making sure she could feel my aura. "Secondly, there won't be any issues as long as you keep your ass away from my Shoto. Got it? I've played nice with you, Momo Yaoyorozu, but I'm not very forgiving. So I suggest you watch your back out on the field today because I won't hold back. Kay?!" I say with a high pitch voice as I walk away from her, making my way back to Shoto. To make my point crystal clear, I look at her before pulling Shoto into a passionate kiss, making it known to her, and anyone else that was watching, that Shoto and I were an item and I wasn't letting anyone get in the way of that.

"HELLO CHILDREN! I AM HERE TO WATCH OVER AND LEAD YOUR TRAINING TODAY!" All Mights voice rang loud as we all stood and listened. I couldn't help but side eyes Yaoyorozu as I caught her eye, moving closer to Todoroki. I smile as he wraps his arm around my waist, holding me close. "TODAY, WE WILL BE DOING MORE HAND TO HAND COMBAT TRAINING WITH SOME RESCUING TO FINISH IT OFF!" His voice was louder than normal as I zoned out, trying to get my mind into combat mode.
"We've already set your pairs, but you will be working in groups of two," Mr. Aizawa says coldly as he pulls out his clipboard. "Todoroki and Yaoyorozu against L/N and Midoriya," I snap back into reality as I hear Mr. Aizawa call out the names of my group, my body tensing as he has her with Shoto. "Did you hear that, L/N! We get to work together!" Deku exclaims as he comes up to me. I was frozen, my fists held tight as I couldn't help my mind growing blank.
"Flower? Flower?" I hear Shoto's voice ring in my ear, his hands shaking me. "What?!" I snap, instantly regretting it as I see his face. "Shit. Sorry," I mutter as I look at my feet. I feel him lift my chin, my eyes meeting his. "It's okay. You zoned out and we got worried," he says as he strokes my cheek, kissing my nose. "I'm fine," I mumble as I give Deku a smile, excited but nervous to have him on my team.
"Excuse me. I need to talk to my combat partner on how we're going to win," Yaoyorozu says in a mocking tone. I immediately feel arms wrap around me to keep me restricted as I almost jumped her. I could tell it was Kiri by the way the hood started to hurt. "Let me go," I snarl as a I shake free of his grip. I pull my hair into a ponytail, exhaling as I do.
"Just try not to kill each other. Group one, you have five minutes to get into place and strategize. Good luck," Aizawa states before he and All Might walk off, leaving out individual groups to strategize. Deku and I make our way to our starting point, my mind racing of each way I could possibly destroy her in combat. "Y/N?" Deku asks as we get to our spot. "Yea?" I respond as I stretch, feeling the wind around me. I knew I had to find all the water towers, knowing they would be my best way of winning. "Are you sure you're going to be able to do this? Ya know, without-" "Without putting someone in a hospital? Imma try. I have no choice," I say as my voice trails off. We take a few moments to strategize before we hear 'BEGIN' come over the PA.
"Todoroki is going to go for an ice attack. He does that a lot. And Yaoyorozu is going to wait until we're separated to attack so we have to stick together as much as we can!" Deku says as we run to where they are. I nod at his words, knowing he was right. Shoto would never use his fire unless he absolutely needed to, so his ice was his first move always. My only goal was to knock Momo unconscious before going after Shot; he may be my boyfriend but this was training and I wouldn't go so easy on him.
"Deku?" I ask as we come to a stop, finding our spots. "Hmm?" "Try not to break yourself, yeah?" I state before going above the ground to try and find the others. We only have 15 minutes to fight. Momo is going to try and build a brigade or weapons that will keep me away while Shoto will use his ice. I did my best to silently walk across the beams, trying to sneak up on them. "On your right!" I hear a female voice yell as I look below me, seeing Midoriya charging Shoto. I smirk as I drop down to the playing field, making a striking kick to Yaoyorozu.
I did everything I could to ensure she didn't have time to react, throwing punches and kicks one after another. I wince as I feel a cold item graze my arm. "Fuck," I mutter, feeling the cold burn. I growl as I glance at Shoto, a smirk on his face. I'll worry about him later. I turn my attention back to the black haired girl in front of me, blocking her attack. "A staff? How clever." I smirk as I grab it, flipping her over my shoulder. I take the chance to start at her again, this time using my quirk to get her caught in a small tornado.
I join her in the air, kicking her in the abdomen, causing the tornado to break and watch as she smashes into the wall. I smirk as I watch her cough up blood, grabbing her hair before throwing her across the field. "Are you ready to give up, wench?!" I yell as I strike her again with my foot, a grunt falling from her lips. I smirk as I land a final punch to her, knocking her out before I return back to Midoriya and Shoto. I watch the two before I decide on a sneak attack on Shoto. All they said was beat your opponent within the time frame. I watch as Shoto uses his flames, smiling slightly as I know he's been trying to perfect it.
"Not so fast, Sho," I mutter to myself as I cause a rush of water to rage over his fire. I watch as he's taken a back before looking up at me. I smirk down at him and give him a wink before joining him on the ground, blocking his fist with my leg. "Try another." I smirk as I swing at him, using the same strategy as I did with Yaoyorozu. "Fuck!" I yell as I feel a burning sensation hit my arm, noticing he had caught me with his fire side. "You may have taken out my partner, but I refuse to lose," he growls at me. He was in fight mode, so I know he didn't care what he did to me. "Oh honey. But you forget," I smirk as I watch Midoriya come down next to us. "It's two against one," I smirk as I kick him back towards Deku, watching has he uses his wind manipulation to knock Shoto into the wall.
I watch as he struggles to get up, a smirk on my face as I walk towards him, placing my foot on his chest. "Give it up, pretty boy. You're done," I smirk as he limps back against the concrete. We hear the buzzer, signaling the end of the match. Deku and I high five one another as we finish. "Oh my god, Y/N! Your arm!" Deku exclaims as he notices the burn I had endured. "It's fine, I'm fine. Battle scars," I shrug as we head back to the group. I watch as the Bots carry Momo and Shoto to Recovery Girl. I felt a tinge of pain for hurting the both of them, but I wanted to prove I had grown since the start of the term.
As each of the groups finished with their battles, Aizawa decided to give us a break as there were a few students who needed at least 30 minutes to recover due to their battles. "Y/N! You were awesome out there!" Denki says to me as he walks over to me as I get a soda out of the vending machine. "Thanks. I tried," I say with a smile. We stand there and talk for a bit, Kiri having joined our conversation at some point before my glance catches the familiar dual-colored hair. "Shoto!" I yell as a I jog toward him, wrapping my arms around him from the back. He turns around in my arms, holding me tightly.
"Are you okay?" I ask as I look up at him, feeling a tinge of guilt wash over me. "Yes, I'm fine. It was just some minor bruising," he says as he ticks a strand of my hair behind my ear. I watch as his eyes grow wide at my arm, immediately covering the burn. "Fuck. Did I do that? I'm so fucking sorry Flower. Fucking hell I'm a terrible boyfriend. I hurt you. I fucking burned you," he rambles as he grabs my arm. I pull it away from him, placing a hand on his cheek. "It's okay, Sho. I promise. Barely felt it," I lie a little as I smile. It burned like a bitch, but not as much as his ice that had grazed my arm. "It's not okay! I fucking bur-" I cut him off with a kiss, his hands gripping my waist. "Babe, I'm okay. But if it makes you feel better, I will go to Recovery Girl," I smile as I peck his lips, walking into the nurses office.
