I blinked a few times, as his little insult got to me. I knotted my eyebrows together, very angry at what I just heard him say. How dare he say such a thing, it wasn't entirely my fault that I bumped into him. I opened my mouth, determined to give him a piece of my mind.

"Excuse me, I don't think it was all my fault that I bumped into your precious little ass. You shouldn't have had just stood on the sidewalk, people walk here, not just stand around. What if you were listening to music and I was riding a bicycle and kept yelling at you to move your ass out of my way, but you didn't hear me. And boom I hit you, fifty, fifty it's both of our faults, don't blame it all on me." I huffed, partly angry at myself to be attracted to this handsome fellow, I had broken one of my rules. Don't give into stupid love or crush at first sight. I started pulling away, wanting nothing to do with this handsome stranger that was holding me against him, anywhere our bodies touched my heartbeat picked up a pace, and I didn't think my heart could withstand any more of this 'attraction'.

He wouldn't budge, he was holding me too tight, suddenly I felt fear, I was ready to kick in with my self-defense tactics, reviewing and eyeing the way he held me, ready to take him down, but my thoughts were interrupted by his laughter.

"You're hot-tempered, wait what's the word I'm looking for? Ah yes, impetuous. Look relax I was just quoting the writing on your shirt", the stranger said, his eyes traveling down to my shirt, staying there longer than necessary, I felt my cheeks warm up. "Nice," he said in that sweet British accent of his.

"Hey buddy, my eyes are up here, hello?" I said, desperate for him to look up. "Mhm, yes I'm well aware of that", his face came closer to mine, his voice a bit ragged. I felt my heartbeat picking up pace if that was even possible since it was flying over the rooftops before.

Suddenly a familiar voice cut in smoothly, causing us to jump apart. "Lucyyyyyy, hey girl. Sorry, I'm late, just couldn't pick what to wear. Oh my God, I see you've met my brother." It was Ray, my brain was working again. Wait a minute did she just say, brother. Oh God, that's why the guy seemed so familiar, he had some features of Ray, of course, the blue eyes and black hair didn't match. But they both had the same bold features, angular faces, and hard jawline. Both beautiful in strange ways, I guess Ray's brother got the best genes, with the blue eyes and all. "Some people just need a high five in the face, with a chair"' Ray said, looking my way.

My eyes went wild, oh God did she just saw me and the beautiful stranger, her brother almost kiss. Maybe not kiss, but the standing close and all, it must've looked wrong. I groaned, opening my mouth to confront her, tell her nothing happened.
"Relax girl, why are you so serious? I was just quoting the writing on your shirt. Let's get you to school, I know how tense you get when you're late. Oh, by the way, meet my bro, Christopher. His from London, but I guess you already knew that." Ray said sounding excited.

I shook my head, so she saw nothing. Thank God, I didn't even know how I was to explain to her. 'Hey I'm sorry, but I'm attracted to your brother and I feel like I'm 13 again with raging hormones, so yeah deal with it byeeeee.' I laughed at the speech in my mind.

"Call me Chris", the handsome boy said. Picking up his backpack and started to follow Ray, walking in front of him towards school. My feet finally started working and I ran past Chris, mumbling a "nice to meet you" to him as I caught up with Ray. Walking silently towards school.

When we reached school, we walked towards my locker which was about 6 lockers away from Lilly's. Speaking of the devil, she stood there, looking perfect in her jeans and tight shirt, showing off her narrow waist, and of course, Matt was by her side, talking to her, he probably said something funny since she laughed.

Megan also walked towards us, looking like the rainbow itself had thrown upon her, with her colorful clothing. Dear lord I loved this girl, she was so weird in the best of ways. I smiled at her, as I closed my locker.

"Hey girl, looking good", yes we were weird, but who gives a damn, I was the crazy quote lady and she was the crazy rainbow one. Somehow we fit together as the best of friends, life wouldn't be the same without her. "Mhm, my favorite quote of the day. Want a high five girl, I think I saw a chair somewhere." Megan teased, and I laughed. We walked towards Lilly, finally closing her locker, done with admiring her reflection in the mirror she kept in it.

As soon as she turned towards us her eyes went straight forward to Chris. I blinked in confusion, why would she now ... And then it just hit me. A memory from grade eight, three-day camp crawled it's way forwards. I remembered it like it happened yesterday.

"Alright, my turn, Lilly truth or dare?" I asked, my voice childish. "Um, truth?" Lilly blushed, looking adorable, and she snuggled in closer to the campy fire, holding her marshmallow closer to the fire.
"Ok. Um, let me think. Oh, I got it. What type of guy are you interested in? I mean, you would like as your boyfriend?" I asked, sounding mischievous, I raised a brow.

Lilly blushed as the girls around us whooooooed urging her to answer. "Oh you know, the typical. Blue-eyed, with black hair, cute, tall, fit, and I would like him to be British or Italian, I don't know why, but I've always been attracted to them." The girls nodded in approval, talking in hushed voices.

I came back to the present, hmmm Lilly had gotten to both of her choices. Matt was Italian and now Chris, of course, she would go to Chris. Matt was good looking, but Chris was something else, new and exciting, an uncharted territory, and of course, very, very handsome. With the enchanting blue eyes, that took you under their spell, he was also a bit taller I noticed. I sighted, some people just got it all, and Lilly was one of those people. I looked over to Chris, and he was watching Lilly too, with dreamy eyes, and like cold water, it hit me hard, he liked her too, stupid love at first sight, damn you.

"Lilly, Matt, Megan, meet my brother from London, Christopher." Ray's voice came up, cutting my thoughts. "Call me Chris", Chris extended his hand forward towards Lilly, and she shook it. Giving him one of her flirtatious smiles, that melted any man like chocolate.

"I'm Megan, not that you care, but that's cool whatever." I looked over at Megan, laughing. Chris looked a bit embarrassed, "I am horribly sorry my lady, it is very nice to meet you". Megan nodded and looked my way, her eyes speaking to me. 'Hey, girl, Lilly, and Chris are sooooo on', that's what I understood and I nodded. She smiled playfully.

The bell rang and Megan took my hand, "well we better get going if you don't mind, Ray you coming?" Megan asked. "No, I need to show Chris what's going on, get his schedule, bla bla bla." Ray said.

"It's ok, I can show him around, I have gym anyway, not that important I'm sure my teacher wouldn't mind." Lilly looked over at us sweetly and cast Chris another one of her smiles. Get a room I thought.

"That would be great, cause I got bio. Chris, I'm leaving you in good hands. Be nice. Let's go guys." Ray said walking past us towards biology class. The last thing I saw was Matt storming towards the opposite direction, clearly picking up on what just happened. While Lilly took Chris's hand, guiding him towards the main office, and all I could think of was how much I wanted to be in Lilly's place, holding Chris's hand.
