Part 10

• Next Morning •

Tony, Thor, Nat, Wanda and Steve got up early to clean the last cups and stuff from the reunion.

Steve and Nat were cleaning the kitchen counter top, Thor was setting the table, Tony was preparing some coffee and Wanda was looking for something through the cupboards.

Wanda: "Hey guys, have you seen the flour?
I want to make some pancakes for everyone"

Nat: "Isn't it in the cabinet?"

You woke up at the sound of your alarm and took a moment to open your eyes. Couple minutes after, you got up from bed and headed to the bathroom to take a shower. Apart from your routine, you played some music while you were in the shower.

You started by placing shampoo on your hand and spread it on your hair giving your head a gentle massage. While the water ran down your body, you grabbed the sponge with soap and started rubbing it on your body.

A thin soft white dust appeared out of the blue on your skin. You looked up and saw a hand shaking a (now) empty flour bag.

Y/N: "BUCKY!!!"

Bucky ran downstairs. He entered to the kitchen and sat at the counter top like nothing happened.

Steve: "What did you do to poor Y/N now?"

Couple seconds after, you stormed into the kitchen.

Steve: "I think I found the flour Wanda"

He tried to contain his laughs. You gave him a death stare and turned to Bucky.

Y/N: "What the hell is wrong with you?!"

Bucky: "Why do you blame me? It could've been anyone else"

Y/N: "Ha! Really? What was that for?"

Bucky: "That was for calling me "so childish" last night"

Y/N: "This is even more childish!"

Tony: "Y/N, munchkin, why don't you put some clothes on, and then you can kill Barnes if you want"

Y/N: "You'll pay for this!"

You turned around and left the kitchen.

Thor: "I'm sorry pal, but your best friend's hot"

Steve: "You should choose your next words wisely, Thor"

A bit later, you headed to your office to attend a meeting with Maria Hill, who gave all the information to Nick Fury about the Avengers.

Just after Maria left, Friday appeared on the wall of your office.

Friday: "Miss Y/N, your presence is required in the meeting room"

You left your things and headed to the meeting room. Tony drove you nuts when he sat up last minute meetings, at the end your job was to program and take care of everyone's schedule, but what could you tell him? He wouldn't listen anyway.

When you arrived to the meeting room only Steve, Tony, Nat and Wanda were there. Couple of minutes after, Vision, Thor, Bucky and Sam appeared.

Tony: "We've got a last minute mission"

Y/N: "Spill the tea, Stark"

Tony: "I discovered that the old organization "Hydra" is still operating"

Steve: "Hydra? I thought it disappeared about 70 years ago, when I crashed in the ice"

Tony: "That's what everyone thought, they traffic massive weapons in a club now"

Y/N: "Like a night club?"

Tony: "Exactly"

Y/N: "I humbly volunteer to go on this mission"

Nat and Wanda laughed at you comment.

Tony: "Don't bother volunteering, you're the one who's going"

Bucky: "I thought her job was talking to us through the earpieces"

Tony: "It's not the only thing she can do, Barnes"

Bucky rolled his eyes.

Tony: "Oh, and you're going with her"

Bucky: "Wait, why?"

Tony: "Because you're the most aggressive in the team-"

Bucky: "Choose your next words wisely, Stark"

Tony: "You see?"- He laughed. "And well,
Y/N's a beautiful woman"

Y/N: "Well, I'm not complaining, thanks T"

Steve: "Stark, I hope you've a point with this"

Tony: "Sorry, yes!"- He sipped from his bottle of water. "So, Alexander Pierce-"

Y/N: "Did you say Alexander Pierce?"

Tony: "Yes I did, why?"

Y/N: "Oh it's nothing, I thought I misheard, keep going"

Tony: "Alright, he's the undercover agent who's been running the weapons' traffic. I found out that his head of security used to be a complete playboy-"

Y/N: "So basically, you want me to flirt with the guy, don't you?"

Tony: "I wouldn't ask you to do it if I wasn't sure it could work"

Y/N: "Don't worry T, I get it"

Tony: "And, anticipating your next question Rogers-"

Tony perfectly knew that Steve would ask if it was safe for you to go on this mission, just as he always did, but maybe this time he would also ask about the fact the mission was on yours and Bucky's hands.

Tony: "I chose both the of them 'cause they haven't been as public as we've, they can enter to the club without being recognized"

That was completely true. Everyone was well known but Bucky just returned from God knows where and you haven't been seen with them in public.

Bucky: "And what do I do with Pierce?"

Tony: "Bring him here"

Tony sipped from his bottle one last time.
