Part 25

As soon as you got shot, Bucky managed to avoid the bullets to help you.

Bucky: "Pal, Y/N got shot"

Steve: "What? Where are you?"

Bucky: "I'll send you the location"

Bucky quickly sent Steve and Sam the exact location where you were. The agents kept shooting and waiting for everyone to come out. Luckily, Sam and Steve could make it to Bucky and you.

Steve quickly carried you in his arms, repeating "you're gonna be okay, please don't go" hundreds of times. Sam called the ambulance and Bucky called the rest of the team to let them know what just happened.

As soon as the ambulance arrived, you were transferred immediately to the hospital. Tony was the first one to arrive and as expected, he was freaking out a little bit too much 'cause he's always seen you like a daughter. He quickly asked Steve what has happened and when he was about to tell him the whole thing, Nat desperately entered to the room.

Nat: "I left her alone with you literally 2 hours and she got shot?!"

Steve: "It wasn't my fault, right Bucky?"

Tony: "What did you do Barnes?"

Steve: "He told her that she wasn't prepared for the mission, she got mad and ran away"

Nat: "What? You idiot!"

Bucky: "I've apologized ten times already"

Nat: "You don't have to apologize to us"

As the bullet was still stuck in your body, you needed surgery to take it out. Fortunately, everything went well, and after the intervention you were transferred to a room.

The doctor ordered that only one person could be in your room and Bucky literally begged the rest of the team to be the first one to see you.

You slowly began to open your eyes as your vision started to focus on the person who was in front of you.

Y/N: "What the hell are you doing here?"

Bucky: "Y/N, I'm so sorry I said that to you. I don't blame you for how you reacted, I would've done the same"

Y/N: "Good, you can go now"

He pinched his brows together in confusion.

Bucky: "I'm not going anywhere"

Y/N: "Seriously, I don't wanna see you"

Bucky: "God, you drive me nuts!"- His hands embraced his shaking head.

Y/N: "If so, GET OUT!"

Bucky: "No, I'll stay here"

Y/N: "Why are you acting like you care?!"

Bucky: "I'm not acting"

Y/N: "Then, what is it?!"

Bucky: "I'M IN LOVE WITH YOU Y/N!"

Y/N: "What?"- Your eyes widened.

Bucky: "I know you heard me"

Y/N: "Is this another joke? 'cause I'm gonna kill you after this"

He couldn't help but let out a small chuckle.

Bucky: "I swear to God Im not joking, just tell me you feel the same, I know you do"

You stayed in silence trying to process what just happened. Feeling a rollercoaster of emotions, you knew you felt the same because you realized that the day of the lake, and finally you two had the chance to be together.

Bucky: "Y/N, say something!"

Y/N: "You're lucky to be so damn handsome"

He smiled and gently grabbed your cheeks pulling you in for a kiss. The kiss wasn't filled with lust and desire anymore, just love.

After the beautiful declaration, Bucky stepped out of the room so the rest of the team could see you too. One by one entered to the room and Wanda offered to stay the night. The next day, you were allowed to go back to the compound since Bruce could take care of you.
