Complicated

Part 6

The day didn't begin as planned with Bucky's  "amazing" show.

After a while, Tony called you all to the meeting room to finally discuss the mission details. Once Tony finished explaining what the mission was about, everyone started to suit up.

Tony: "You'll be guiding us through the earpieces this time, Y/N"

Y/N: "Perfect, I'll get 'em"

Bucky: "The little girl doesn't know how to go on a mission"

Y/N: "Shut the fuck up!"

Tony: "Still can't be friends?"

He placed one arm around each of you.

Y/N and Bucky: "No!"

Both of you released Tony's arms from your shoulders.

Steve: "Can't you do it for me?"

Both of you gave him the "I'm gonna kill you" stare.

Steve: "I guess not"

As soon as they connected their earpieces, they jumped into the Quinjet and left. You opened the program and introduced the location. It gave you access to all the security codes and the x-ray vision to see inside the place.

Once you had all the information ready, you paired your earpiece with the others.

Y/N: "Okay, can you hear me?"

Steve: "Loud and clear"

Tony: "I just disconnected the security system"

Y/N: "I see, great job T! You can go inside now, there aren't guards blocking"

Steve: "Y/N, I need to get to their file room"

Y/N: "Go straight and you'll find a tunnel which leads to the room"

Steve: "Got it"

The mission was going according to the plan, Nat and Wanda took care of the guards at the back of the building, Thor and Tony of those in the towers, Steve was heading to the file room and Bucky was covering Steve's back.

Bucky: "Little girl I'm done, where should I go now?"

Y/N: "Oh, I recall you said I didn't know how to go on a mission, let's see if you know"

You entered to the menu that showed the status of the earpieces and disconnected Bucky's.

Bucky: "Y/N?"

Y/N: "Oops!"

After a couple of minutes, you saw that Steve was returning from the file room.

Steve: "I've the copy of all the documents"

Tony: "Our job's done"

You prepared the Quinjet remotely, so they just had to close the door once they were inside.

After a while the doors of the compound opened and everyone entered to the lounge. Well, almost everyone.

Y/N: "It was quite a short mission, wasn't it?"

You offered them a glass of water.

Steve: "Yes it was, and you were really good"

Nat: "Wait a second"-She turned around and scanned the room. "Where's Bucky?"

Wanda: "Yeah, he's missing"

Y/N: "Poor guy"- You let out a chuckle.

Steve: "Y/N, do you know something we don't?"

Y/N: "No! What are you talking about?"

Bucky: "YOU LITTLE EVIL SPAWN!"

Everyone turned around and saw Bucky storming into the lounge pointing at you.
He took off his jacket and throw it to the ground with anger.

Bucky: "I swear to God I'll-"

Steve: "Buck, Buck, it's okay buddy, calm down"

Steve placed his hands on Bucky's shoulders stopping him from getting too close to you.

Bucky: "No, it's not okay Steve, she disconnected my earpiece!"

Steve: "Did you do that?"

Y/N: "What if I did?"

Steve: "Y/N, you need to apologize"

Bucky smiled feeling successful.

Y/N: "He said I didn't know how to go on a mission, I just wanted to know if he did"

Steve: "Buck, you should apologize too"

Steve was such a dad with 2 problematic kids.
Bucky headed to the kitchen to pour himself a glass of wine and you headed to the couch on the opposite side of the room.
Steve grabbed your wrist before you could seat and pulled you as he walked towards Bucky. He put both of you face to face placing a hand on each other's shoulder stopping you from walking away.

Steve: "Both apologize, NOW!"

You could tell he was getting mad, but you weren't just going to apologize to Bucky. Both just stared at each other for few seconds.

Bucky and Y/N: "Never!"

Steve sighed as both of you walked away.

Sam: "At least they didn't kill each other"

Sam handed Steve a beer.
