Chapter 13

Libitina woke up around five in the afternoon feeling very dirty. She then remembered everything that happened that morning, she immediately went to wash herself. When she was done she still felt dirty but she had to go down and tell everyone she was okay.

"Hello love, how are you feeling?" Polly asked the girl in front of her.

"Dirty but I'm okay Pol." Libitina answered truthfully.

"Oh darling come here." Polly said while hugging the young blonde girl that stood before her.

"Now come on love, we are having a bonfire." Polly said whilst winking at the young girl.

Libitina got her shoes and coat on and headed down to the end of Watery Lane where there was a fire already started. John spotted Libitina walking down the dark street. He decided to run up to her. When he got to her he hugged her so tightly she couldn't breathe.

"I'm so glad your awake, I got so scared. Are you okay did they urm, you know.." John asked.

"No they didn't do that but they touched me, but I'm okay don't worry." Libitina answered truthfully.

John wrapped his arm around her and walked her up to the fire. He left Libitina with Arthur to go and talk to Lizzie Stark, Birmingham's most popular prostitute..

Libitina decided she was going to go inside as she was very tired, she honestly just wanted sleep and to get away from the crowd and, well John.

Ada was pregnant.

Tommy was furious, Ada was in hiding now, the Shelby family were falling apart, and no one could do anything about it.

Libitina hasn't spoken John since she saw him with Lizzie. She knew it wasn't going to take long for him to hurt her again, but she didn't think it would of been this soon.

Libitina decided she was going to spend her day in The Garrison, drinking away her feelings. She got up and got changed and headed out the front door and down to Garrison Lane. When she reached her destination she opened the doors to see a new beautiful blonde barmaid. She sat on a stool at the bar and ordered a whiskey, Harry telling the barmaid it was on the house as Libitina was technically a Shelby.

"Hi, I'm Grace Burgess." The barmaid said holding out her hand waiting for Libitina to shake it.

"Hi Grace, I'm Libitina, Libitina Lee, it's very nice to mee you!" Libitina said shaking Grace's hand.

"I must say Libitina, you are so gorgeous." Grace said with a smile on her face while wiping a glass.

"Thank you Grace, as are you beautiful, honestly it's nice to have a woman in here to talk to, can you fill up my glass please darling?" Libitina asked.

"Irish?" Grace asked.

"Yes please." Libitina said with a smile on her face.

The girls chatted for hours, Libitina was very drunk at this point, being in her drunken state she didn't even realise that the Shelby men arrived and went to the back room.

Libitina looked through the tinted window to see car lights outside. She turned to face Grace with a confused look on her face, Grace just shrugged her shoulders as she had no clue.

When the doors to The Garrison opened everyone went quite. Libitina looked in the direction of the doors and opened her eyes so wide you would of thought her eyes would fall out.

"Holy shit. It's Billy Kimber." Libitia said suddenly feeling as sober as ever.

"Is there any man here named Shelby?" Billy asked the people in the pub.
