Hatred

Chapter 1: New World: Thousand Sunny

Luci found herself in the middle of the ocean with no food and no water. She knew this would happen but she thought an island would appear by now. "Looks like that storm really took me away to nowhere. I must hurry and find an island or even a ship. I heard of pirate ships lurking around here." She kept paddling as much as she could. She was growing tired and hungry. All she wanted to do was eat and sleep but she knew she had to keep going. Suddenly, she felt exhaustion hit her quickly and found herself passed on the dinghy. Luckily, the dinghy just hit a ship so hopefully someone would be able to notice her. But the ship was no ordinary one. It was the famous Thousand Sunny, home of the Strawhat Pirate Crew.

Up on the ship, the Captain of the crew Monkey D. Luffy was being his usual goofy self and having fun with fellow members, Chopper, the doctor of the crew and Usopp, the sniper of the crew. They had only finished their battle with Don Flamgingo merely 2 days ago and were now getting into the swing of things being back to normal. The other 6 members of the crew were off doing their own thing.

Sanji, the cook, was busy in the kitchen as always preparing food for everyone. Franky, the shipwright, was down below working on whatever project he was working on. Both the Navigator and Archaeologist, Nami and Robin, were in the galley talking to each other about what to do next. Zoro, the swordsman, was up in a high room working on becoming even stronger than he was before with weights. And lastly, we have the musician, Brook who was outside playing his violin. He was quite a strange man being a living skeleton. But he was a gentleman, no doubt about that. This crew was about to meet someone brand new who will lead them to their next adventure.

As Brook was looking around the ocean as he was playing, he spotted Luci's dinghy just nearby. He looked down at where it hit the side of the ship and spotted her. He did not know what to do so he simply looked up at where Luffy was at and called for him. "Yohohoho" he called out his famous phrase before continuing. "Luffy, I have spotted a dinghy on the starboard side! A human girl is in it." Luffy, Chopper, and Usopp stop what they were doing and go towards Brook to see what he is talking about. Sure enough, they found out he was telling the truth.

Usopp was the first to speak up, "Woah, it is a girl in there. Must have drifted away during the storm last night." He looks at Luffy who was already about to grab her with his special ability, courtesy of the Gum-Gum fruit he ate as a kid. "Gum-Gum Grab!" His right arm stretched out to grab her and brought her right onto the ship. He placed her on the floor. She looked pale from hunger. Chopper, being the doctor that he is, walked up to her to check on her. Chopper may be a small reindeer but he is the best doctor and everyone is grateful to have him on the crew. Chopper looks at Brook, "Brook, take her to my room. I am gonna check to make sure everything is alright." Brook nods and scoops her up in his arms and follows Chopper inside. This gave him a chance to look at her. Her hair was in her face so he tried his best to push the strands to the side. "She certainly is beautiful."

Once the pair entered Chopper's room, Brook placed her on the bed. Brook leaves the room leaving Chopper to take care of her. Outside, Luffy and Usopp already went to tell the others what was going on. They agreed to meet outside to talk about what to do and what is going on. As the remaining 5 met up with Luffy and Usopp, Brook appeared and joined them.

Luffy was the first one to speak, "Maybe she is a mermaid like the ones we met!" Nami goes up to him and hits him on the head with anger. "You idiot, she is not like them." She backs away with a curious look on her face "However, how she got here is mysterious. That dinghy has been through the storm. How was she able to survive that? And also where she came from is beyond me. There is no island nearby." Usopp speaks up. "I noticed she was wearing a strange choker around her neck. Maybe that will give us a clue on where she is from." The others nodded in agreement. "Robin can maybe find a book on it. The choker had a pentagram on it with the head of a horned creature on it." Robin looks at everyone, "I will look up this choker and see if it means anything." Sanji says, "I shall make lunch for the damsel in distress."

Chopper walks out to them and everyone looks at him waiting to hear what he is gonna say, "After doing a thorough checkup on her, it looks like she has been through abuse. Her body is fragile and it looks like she hasn't eaten in a while. But I can not determine if it is abuse unless she says so. I will wait until she wakes up then I will bring her to all of you." They all agreed it would be the right thing and Chopper goes back to her.

Sanji looks at everyone. "I'll be getting back to cooking lunch." That made Luffy and Usopp light up with excitement and rush inside to get ready to eat." Zoro rolls his eyes, "Moss head here will be acting stupid around the new girl." Sanji glares at him as he hears what he said but decides not to fight him since it will wake up the sleeping girl. Everyone heads inside talking among themselves. Brook started to think about what the symbol means on her choker. "I wonder...."

Luci woke up in a cold sweat and panting to catch her breath. She calms down after a moment. She then realized that she was in a bed and in a strange, new place. She looked around and saw Chopper sitting on a chair writing something on the desk. She screams a little and backs up until she hits her back on the wall. Chopper looks at her and gets worried, "What's wrong?" Luci didn't know what to say. All she could mutter in was, "A...a..a talking reindeer!" Chopper realizes what she said and looks at her with reassurance. "Yes I am a talking reindeer. My name is Chopper. I will explain how I am talking later. I am the doctor of the Straw Hat Crew"

Luci looks at him confused. She has never heard of them before. Then again, no outside information is ever allowed onto her island. "I have never heard of your crew before. Are you all bad pirates?" Chopper becomes confused. "You never heard of us?" Luci replies, shaking her head no. Chopper goes to her and sits by her. She slowly goes to sit next to him. "We are good pirates, to us. To the Marines and World Government, we are wanted. We found you on your dinghy and decided to bring you up to our ship to make sure you are alright. I have found out that you are fraile for your age. Um...how old are you?" Luci looks at him and replies with one word, "25" Chopper is shocked. "A 25 year old woman weighing 105 pounds. That is not good at all. Let's get you something to eat." She nods and both get up. Chopper leads her to the dining hall where everyone is waiting for them. As Chopper opens the door for her, Luci meets the famous Straw Hat crew.
