I screamed....
I screamed loud and shrill as frustration and rage built up little by little. This was the 5th time in a row, I couldn't do that simple step.
I sat down in the corner of the dance practice room, as the music died down. I hugged my knees to myself, breaking down myself into teras, trying to calm myself down.
Crying helped, but not always. Talking helped, but not always. Nothing was helping. It started to rain. It wasn't supposed to rain, this is not unfair......
I did it again. I failed to prove that I could do it too.
Mr. Lee would definitely cut me off from the list this time. He wouldn't buy any excuses this time.
My dream, my passion, everything would come down to ruins. I started shaking violently as I slowly sank to the floor, teras flowing nonstop and feeling numb all over.
I wanted to try again, but knowing I would fail, I sat back.
"Y/N....", a voice made me turned my head.
It was Hyunjin.
Hwang Hyunjin. 21. Class President and the best ballet dancer in the whole campus There was nothing he wasn't good at. An all-rounder prince is what they called him. Surely, a living porcelain doll, only deserved by the very best.
"Y/N, what are you doing here? And are you okay?", he approached me, worry clear in his voice and my heart doing its job and skipping beats.
Oh! Did I mention that he is my crush? Well, yes.... The love of my Life is what I call him. Even gave him letters and he received them, that shy smile playing on his lips on every 14th of Feb since 2016.
Coming back to the present, I wiped off my tears and fake smiled.
"Yep, I'm a-okay. Just that.... I wanted to fix a mistake in this dance.", I stood up and fix my dress and was getting the transistor ready for the dance when-
"Looks like you need help, right? I already mastered it and it's a pretty common step that almost no one gets.", he softly said, his assuring words, weirdly calming me down making me smile and making my cheeks heat up.
"U-Um....", I started, panic arose in my heart as I looked for words to speak. He chuckled, pushing back the specs he wore.
"It's okay. I'll help you. Just cause the whole of the class did it with ease, doesn't mean you have to do it too. Well, it might seem sudden and unreal that I'm helping, but as the class president it is my duty to make sure that everyone in my class is safe and sound. SO please, an earnest request, don't overwork yourself.", he smiled, making my butterflies run a marathon inside.
"I-I'm not overworking myself I promise", I shuttered.
He sighed and smiled.
"It's 11 degrees outside. No one can be possibly sweating even if they are not wearing a sweater. It's clear that you were overworking yourself."
Shit Hyujin, why you gotta see through me like this?
I looked down, embarrassed.
"We still have three days left and I'm in all means agreeing to help you. And it's not like that I'm gonna do anything in these three days. So, are you in?", he said while leaning on the door frame.
