Chase's POV
"I don't want anymore," Diego whines, putting down his spoon and pouting.
"You don't like it?" I ask. I tasted it before giving it to him and it's actually amazing! Esmée's recipe really is delicious.
Diego turns to face me. "I do! I'm just not hungry anymore."
"You only ate four spoons of soup! There's no way that's enough!" I exclaim. "When was the last time you had a proper meal?"
"Right now," he replies innocently and I roll my eyes, waiting for him to answer my question. He releases a soft laugh before breaking into a fit of coughs. "I didn't really eat much yesterday because that's when I started to feel sick. I'll eat the soup later, promise."
I frown. He really should be having at least one meal and what I put in the bowl is a lot less than what he usually eats. "How about this, if you eat two more spoons of soup I'll give you a kiss on the cheek. For five spoons a kiss on the lips. For ten spoons another head massage and if you eat all your soup I'll give you a full body massage!"
I'm already planning on giving him a full body massage because I know how much he likes them, and the massage should help him relax and fall asleep, but this should do the trick and get him to eat more.
Diego's face lights up and he picks up his spoon and starts eating. I ruffle his hair and continue to play with it as he eats.
"Feed me, please! My arms are tired," Diego whines, like a child about to throw a tantrum.
I giggle and pick up the spoon, deciding to indulge my man child. "DiDi, say aaah," I say, stroking his hair with one hand while holding a spoonful of soup with the other. Diego grins and opens his mouth and I feed him the soup. "Good boy," I coo, giggling loudly.
"Don't you have to work today? Esmée will take care of me, so if you're busy it's okay. You really don't have to take care of me," Diego says, shortly after I feed him his sixth spoonful of soup.
A pout forms on my lips as I look at my sniffling boyfriend. "DiDi, stop trying to push me away. I don't like it. If you're clingy or immature or annoying it doesn't matter. I want to experience all sides of you because you're mine and I'll always take care of you."
He turns towards me and his eyes search mine for a few seconds before a broad smile spreads across his face. "Thank you, Chase." His voice is drenched in gratefulness and his eyes are filled with love and gratitude.
I press a soft kiss to his forehead before feeding him more soup. Diego snuggles against my chest which makes feeding him a little awkward, but he looks so content that I don't have the heart to tell him to sit up properly.
"Do I get my massage now?" Diego inquires, after he's finished taking his medication, and he turns away from me to release a mucus-filled cough. I gently rub his back while he finishes coughing and blowing his nose. "Hmm?" He prompts, giving me a sheepish smile.
I giggle and nod, getting up to move the portable laptop table to the floor while Diego repositions himself in the bed. I climb on top of him, trying not to put too much of my body weight on his butt.
After rubbing some massage oil on my hands, I get to work with Diego's massage, starting with his back. My hands work the muscles on his now shirtless upper body, gently kneading and moving in circles, up and down his back.
Diego releases soft sounds of pleasure mixed with a few coughs as I continue to relax him. I lean over and press a few light kisses to his back, not being able to resist worshipping his chiseled body.
