Chapter 12 - Jesse

Jesse's POV

I can't believe I jumped straight into his arms! Ugh I can't even play hard to get now! Not that I would, I'm not a fan of playing those types of games. I literally couldn't help myself!

When he smiled at me my brain turned to mush and my only thought was I needed his strong, sexy arms around me. So I ran and jumped right into them. I ran! I literally don't run for anything! Gosh running is the worst! But I ran to him.

I hear him chuckle lightly in my ear squeezing me closer to his body. "I missed you too, little tomato," Bryan whispers, sending shivers down my spine. I blush at the nickname smiling against his neck; feeling giddy with happiness.

Usually I think I blush too much and look like a tomato when I'm blushing and I hate it! But somehow I liked this nickname. The way he said it made my heart skip a beat.

I lift my head to look into his eyes. His eyes flash from relief to amusement before settling on happiness. My eyes drift at his plump lips and without thinking, I smash my lips into his, probably a little too forcefully.

He's stunned initially but then moves his lips against mine. He gently nips at my bottom lip and I suppress a moan. His velvety tongue searches for access which I instantly grant. He sighs and smiles into the kiss.

I pull back slightly, breaking the kiss and resting my forehead against his. "I bet you did Mr. Vampire."

Bryan lets out a throaty laugh then gives me a soft kiss on my forehead. I hear the sound of someone clearing their throat.

Oh gosh, I forgot that his friend that opened the door was still in the room! My face heats up again and I drop my legs that were wrapped around Bryan's waist. They dangle for a second before he gently puts me down.

Before I can even turn around I hear a squeal. "Jesse! Oh my gosh Jesse! What even?" I turn around to see an excited Shawn bounding towards me.

He gives me a hug bouncing up and down once he releases me. "You guys are soooooo cute! Oh my god you didn't even tell me you were going to meet up with him! Oooh but now we can go on double dates and it won't be awkward since our boyfriends are friends! Are you staying for the barbecue?"

"What barbecue?" Shawn's words came out in one breath that the only thing I actually understood was the word barbecue.

Bryan clears his throat and I glance over at him. His gaze meets mine and he flashes me a dazzling smile. "I'm having a barbeque starting in about 30 minutes. Would you like to stay? I would like that."

Holy shit! How do you breathe again? Hmm I could go to the barbeque. But Chase, I need to find out what's wrong with him. "I'm sorry I can't, I have a whole evening planned with Chase."

I decided that tonight is the night I officially confront Chase and calmly try to get him to tell me what's wrong. I was always pissed when I saw Chase crying or asked him about what happened because I always started thinking about all the possible ways he could have been hurt. What could have possibly happened to cause such drastic changes in Chase's behaviour? I swear this is Mike's doing! God I hate him!

I think my anger scared my baby bro and that maybe he thought it was directed at him. But my anger wasn't directed at him, never.

So this time, I'm going to take a different approach, I'm going to try focusing on Chase and not my absolute loathing of Mike and how I'm going to torture and murder him.

I can feel Chase pulling away and I need to talk to him sooner rather than later.

"But you've spent all your time for the last few weeks with Chase," Shawn whines before immediately perking up. "Maybe you can invite him? Then I can hang out with both of you!"
