She practically runs down the hallway, ignoring the weird looks she receives. So what if it's 7 am? Getting love notes and flowers is more important than conserving energy.
Gina skids to a stop in front of her locker, hands shaking slightly as she spins the dial. She takes a deep breath before slowly opening the door. The hinges squeak a little as she looks inside, half-scared.
There, resting on top of her Spanish textbook, is a white camellia and a small note. Gina bites the inside of her lip to stop herself from squealing in excitement. A smile grows on her face, so big that it almost hurts her cheeks.
Reaching inside, she grabs the white flower and gently touches the petals before reading the note.
white camellias - you're adorable
i think the flower speaks for itself.
Gina's eyes widen as she stares at the neat handwriting.
Ohmygodohymgodohmygod, she thinks to herself. I have got to know who's writing these.
She looks around again, hoping to see someone in the hallways. Standing a few feet away at his locker is a boy, much taller than her. She approaches him slowly, already regretting this.
"Um, excuse me," Gina says, awkwardly laughing as the boy turns his attention to her. "I'm Gina."
He smiles politely, shutting his locker door and making eye contact.
"I'm Soobin," he says. Gina nods before showing him the flower in her hand. The tips of his ears redden, but it goes unnoticed by Gina.
"Well, this is so random, but have you seen someone put this in my locker?" She looks hopefully at him, the overhead lights reflecting in her eyes and making them shine. Soobin blinks at her, fixated by how the dim cheap lights somehow make her look angelic.
"Ah, no," he finally says, swallowing hard. Gina's face falls before presenting a small smile. "I'll watch for you, though."
She immediately brightens before giving Soobin a hug.
"Thank you so much!!"
Running back to her locker, she doesn't notice Soobin's blush spreading across his cheeks, or how he stares after her with a shy smile on his lips.
