Gina runs faster than she ever has, dodging people in the hallways as she tries to find Soobin. She catches a glimpse of him a few feet in front of her,
"You're him," she says, trying to let her breath catch up. "You're my flower fairy."
She watches Soobin carefully, finally noticing as the tips of his ears turn red. He rubs the back of his neck, a shy smile on his face.
"Yeah," he says quietly, his voice shaking a little. "It's me." Gina pinches her lips to hide a smile, her emotions overflowing.
"And you didn't tell me because?" Soobin just shrugs, somehow finding the courage to meet her eyes.
"Would you have been okay with it?" Right before Gina answers, he holds up a hand, shaking his head.
"Wait here."
With those words, Soobin runs away, disappearing around the corner. Gina waits patiently, rocking back on her heels. A few students shoot her weird looks, but she ignores them. All that matters right now is Soobin. If he's going to come back.
A few minutes pass, and she sees Soobin on his way. He's holding something behind his back, and she cranes her neck to try to catch a glimpse of it. With a quiet laugh, Soobin reveals it.
Soobin hands her a bright red flower, almost as long as his hand. Gina tilts her head at him, accepting it silently.
"It's a red salvia," he says quietly, his ears almost the color of the flower. "It means forever mine. If you're okay with it."
She throws her arms around his neck, careful to avoid crumpling the flower.
"I'm definitely okay with it."
