Chapter 6 - Gaara of the Sand

Y/N entered his hotel room where he immediately collapsed onto his bed but as he closed his door, Neji revealed himself behind the door.

"So Y/N, where did you wander off to?" Neji questioned Y/N. "I was in the village library you see, studying and researching our current enemy, the Hidden Sand. That's when I discovered the location of the royal palace and the family of the Fourth Kazekage, who occupies the grounds." Neji monologued, making the situation tenser.

"That's nice Neji but I don't care! It has nothing to do with me." Y/N remarked as he had a confident smirk on his face to hide his nerves.

"Well, I believe you're lying about your involvement," Neji replied quickly. "You know, I thought it was strange, how you were acting for these past days. You were nervous not for a simple escort mission but something more extreme." Neji had revealed Y/N's true mission set by Danzo.

Y/N was extremely nervous, the sweat slowly fell down the side of his face. He was about to speak until...

"YO Y/N! Look what I got!" Lee suddenly yelled out as he entered the room. "All of these premium workout items! This is absolutely perfect! I will have to use them all right now, for 1000 reps each!" Lee continued as he used some special weights he bought.

Soon after Tenten walked by joining the boys.

"Lee! Watch out with those things!" Tenten scolded Lee. "Guy has dinner ready in his room so come along, we have a long few days coming!" Tenten said with a soft smile. Both Neji and Y/N stared at each other intensely and then left to have dinner.

"So how did you kids spend your time today?" Guy asked with a little intrigue.

"I went and bought dozens of weights to help my training to become the ultimate fighter! The sand village sure has unique ways to train, Guy Sensei!" Lee explained to his teacher.

"Lee! I'm so proud! You used your undying youth to find your path to success, even in a foreign environment!" Guy yelled out with extreme passion.

"I added to my weapon collection!" Tenten added.

"That's nice Tenten, what about you Neji?"Guy quickly lost interest.

"Nothing important. However, I believe Y/N has had an interesting day, isn't that right?" Neji said smugly

"What I did today doesn't concern you Neji, mind your business," Y/N replied. "Please excuse me, I want to get some sleep early." Y/N then exited the room and quickly ran to his room.

Y/N got his gear ready and psyched himself up until he heard a knock at the door.

"Hey Y/N, you awake?" Tenten said quietly.

Y/N quickly created a clone to talk to Tenten and then left the room through the large window which looked over the sand village.

"Hey, Tenten. I'm a little tired right now so we'll talk in the morning" Clone Y/N said as he cracked the door open slightly.

"Wait, I was just wondering if you're ok? I mean it has been a hectic few days but I mean it's best to check up on your friends. That's what friends are for after all." Tenten kindly said which made Y/N smile behind the door.

"Thank you Tenten but I'm telling you I'm just a little tired. I'll see you tomorrow." Y/N said and closed the door. Tenten turned around and smiled with satisfaction. She walked down the hall and saw Neji stomp down toward Y/N's room with a little frustration.

"Tenten! Is Y/N there?!" Neji asked, slightly shouting.

"Umm...he's asleep now, why?" Tenten asked curiously.
