Merlin: The Untold story

I stood on the edge of the road watching the cars going by. As I think about heading home for the night as the sun slowly disappears behind some clouds. It will soon be dark. That was when I spotted the man eyeing me up from across the road.

Finally he headed across and stopped directly in front of me. I look at him for a few seconds before I realise who I was staring at. How can this be possible?

"Merlin," he smiled.

"How can this be possible? I mean how the heck...you died along time ago," I whisper but I don't know why.

"Thanks for pointing that out, Merlin. Look there is not much time but you must listen to my words," he says.

"Hold on a minute, I know I'm immortal and Arthur will make his return someday but how can you be here alive? You died along side your queen," I tell him.

"I know that too, Merlin thank you very much but I have no time to explain. If I have time later then I will but for now you must trust me," he says.

"I've always trusted you," I say.

"Indeed, now you have done well so very well but now its time. The rise of King Arthur is nearly upon the United Kingdom and you and Arthur will be the ones to save it. You know the words of the great dragon and you must understand the wait is almost over. There is one thing that must be done before this though. You have not only been waiting for your once and future king or your best friend you have served this Kingdom as best as you can and tried to always fit in as best as you could but one thing must change. You're appearance."

"What about it? I know it's...what do you mean?" I ask.

"Follow me into the Lake of Avalon and trust me with every inch of your body," he smiles.

"I always trust you, I never stopped not too this very day, Gaius," I smile.

"Step into the water with me." I follow Gaius into the water having a hundred percent trust in him even after all these years, even if it don't make sense how he could even be here.

Gaius began to enchant a spell and a sudden flash surprised me but I let whatever was happening, happen and I closed my eyes.

"Merlin, its now over," Gaius said about five minutes later. I open my eyes staring at Gaius feeling no different then I did before apart from not aching as much.

"Welcome back, Merlin. This is how I always saw you and I respect you have grown up but its good to see you this way again. You must be this way for Arthur because he will not have aged in the slightest," said Gaius as he pulled out a small mirror and made me look into it.

My mouth fell open in shock. I'm young again! Old to Young, who would have believed it. It's like not even a day has gone by since Arthur died and I sent him on that boat through the lake of Avalon.
