I searched for the first name of the list, trying to gain more time to stand there. I heard snickers from the back of the classroom. They probably weren't even laughing at me but it just felt like they were. God I hate this.

I tugged more on my sweatshirt begging someone to take me out of the situation.  But I know that wouldn't happen anyway.

Man I'd never realized how long this takes. And how much everyone just looks at you. The worst part about it was Evan Hansen. I've tried to talk to him multiple times but he just looks scared. I have no idea what I did. That's with most people though, everyone is always scared. I thought my reputation from middle school would have left me but it stayed around I guess.

He squeaked a little "here" and I looked at him. He always looked so god damn nervous. I looked away realizing that I didn't look at anyone else before that.

"Oh boy Evan you better watch out mr. Murphy might be taking your spot as favorite student". Then he winked at us. Wtf ew. I looked over at Evan and saw him blushing.
