In the next area they did need Amira's skills. "Pixies?" She shook her head. "This was their idea of something dangerous."
"Pixies are dangerous." Savanna was cutting them out of the air when they got too close. "If you let them use that dust on you I won't see you again. You'll drift off into an enchanted sleep and spend the rest of time sitting here."
"How many times has that happened?"
"Out there I think I read of about a hundred documented occasions of it happening. In here I dread to think how many people would think the same way you do. Not many people learn about pixies, but Eugene thought it was something I would be fascinated with."
"Another sign we're going in the right direction." Amira shot down another three pixies. "I almost hate how much help we're getting, because I'm certain other people won't be."
"I'm sure they are. They would have been told what they needed to do. They just need to remember it, in order to find the way out."
"How many more pixies are there?"
"Maybe another fifty or so. There's normally a hundred in the hive. Maybe a little more."
"Pixies have hives."
"Yeah, they do. It's how they keep themselves safe, as well as the pixie dust, but they don't need to use the dust on most people. Those who know are sensible enough to stay away from pixie hives and those who don't have no idea what they're looking at."
"What about those who aren't sensible enough to stay away and know what the hives are?"
"They're the hundred documented cases. As far as I'm concerned they got what they deserved for disturbing a pixie hive."
"Are we getting what we deserve?"
"No, because this wasn't something we did on purpose. It was an accident to find ourselves here and we are going to punish the people who put these poor pixies through this."Savanna sighed. "We're going to punish the people who put all these beings in the best place, where they must be killed over and over again, simply because they happen to be here."
More pixies flew towards them and Amira shot them, wishing it was over soon. Being in the room full of pixies was boring. She wanted to be fighting something that could actually fight back. Of course the things that could fight back were more likely to kill them, but that was better than killing little creatures who couldn't do anything more than attack with pixie dust, because they couldn't get close enough. Sighing she shot another group of them. "I hate this, Sav."
"I know, but it will be over soon."
"Got any idea what might be in the next area?"
"Nothing as simple as this." Savanna cut another couple of pixies out of the air. "The easiness of this area is meant to make us complacent. We're going to walk into the next area not expecting what's coming."
