With the dawn came change. None of the three of them were expecting it, but at least they had been trained for what was coming and that was something Amira was grateful for.
Lady Kahina made certain they had the very best teachers. Eugene made certain they had the very best weapons. As Amira removed her blindfold she was grateful to see her bow was right in front of her, as were Samuel and Savanna's weapons, but that told her something bad was coming.
Having her bow in her hand didn't make her feel any less certain. It just made her feel ready for whatever was going to come.
Samuel followed in her example, while Savanna climbed one of the trees, and Amira knew exactly what she was doing. Being the one who was most capable of climbing a tree Savanna took it upon herself to look to see what was coming.
