Chapter 5: Advice.

*Knock Knock Knock*

"Ok. Ok. I'm coming. I'm coming. Consarn it!"

A small beaver-like creature walks up to the front door and opens it, only to see the little girl that she and her family once raised. "Oh hey Rivet!" She said in a friendly and welcoming tone, "how the heck where are ya?"

Usually, Rivet would reply with a friendly and cocky "look who it is" before doing their special handshake. But this time she stayed silent and sniffled. Her yellow and black robot companion places a soft hand on her leg (since she was so small) like she was telling her to go on. Rivet then looked Mort in the eyes, revealing that she was crying. By the looks of the cuts and bruises on her face, she must've been mistreated.

"M-Mort...." Rivet rasps, even her voice sounded like it was injured and broken. "Riv, what happened?" Mort exclaimed, shocked, like who would do such a thing to her baby?! Rivet was about to speak before breaking down crying, dropping to her knees. Mort then embraces her in a comforting hug, and Kit did the same. "it's alright sweetie pie" Mort said in a motherly tone, "I'm here..."

Back at Ratchet's dimension...

Lincoln was walking his way to the GR base, hoping that Qwark wouldn't put him on parking duty. He was only a mile away from the base when a familiar voice was behind him.

"Well, well, well. We meet again L-Loser L-Lincoln!"

That voice sent chills down Link's spine as he turns around to see a bigger alien looking down at him with his dark amber eyes. It was Eric, his high school bully, and his buddies. Great....!

"Well hello, Eric...." Lincoln greeted with a friendliness yet with slight fear in his voice, "Long time, no see-" "save it loser!" Eric snarled, "where are you off to?" Lincoln gulps quietly, "to the Galactic Ranger Base....." he replied skittishly. "oh! cool!" Eric mutters loudly, "are you cleaning the floors there?" That insult caused him and his buddies to bust out laughing. Link didn't find that funny, "Ha Ha Ha very funny Eric..." Lincoln purrs sarcastically, " and no I'm not swabbing the floors, I'm a new member of the Galactic Rangers."

"Hahaha! good one Link!" Eric laughed hysterically. But it didn't take long for him to notice Lincoln's serious face, "wait you can't be serious?!" He said in disbelief. "do I look like I'm joking?" Lincoln answered calmly but he had a cold tone in his voice.

There was silence for a little while until Eric then began laughing again. "good riddance!" Eric howled, "you know you won't stay as a Galactic Ranger for long! You're too dumb and stupid to be one and you always will be! You may believe that you will rise to the top, but just so you know, you'll only end up as either a homeless person or a dead body!"

Lincoln then begins to bare his teeth, "go.......away......Eric....." Lincoln growled. Eric perked up, "what do you just say?" He sneered. Lincoln's fur begins to bristle as tiny sparks of lightning begin to surround him as his Heterochromia eyes were now electric blue, "I.....said.....GO.....AWAY!!!"

As he said it, A lightning bolt shot out of Link's paws and slashes Eric's muzzle, blood gushed out from the wound as Eric lets out a painful scream. Link just froze in shock at what happened. "Oh no no no! What have I done?!" Lincoln thought as Eric turned him with murder in his eyes, "oh you're going to get it you little FREAK!!!" Eric roared before punching Link in the face. The Kratz fell to the ground with a jarring thud. His site was blurry and his ears rang.

But before he could feel the rest of the beating, A laser shot was heard as he heard The bullies gasp in shock as someone landed in front of him. "lay one more finger on him and I'll put you guys in custody for assaulting an officer!!!" A very male familiar voice spoke coldly as Link heard several footsteps running away from him.
