I am so sorry for the slow update. I sometimes think twice about story plots. So that's why this chapter took very long to get published.

The room was dark and quiet, too dark and quiet to be exact. Her body felt cold and...empty.

She felt this before, but it's been a very long time. But during this feeling, questions filled her blank head: Is this it? Is she going to die? Oh scarps, Not now! This can't be the end, Not now! All she needs to do is try, just try to open her eyes! That's all!

But soon enough, she starts to feel her body begin to warm up...and a large ache in her back slowly creeping in. After a while, she began to feel her fingers and toes, she even felt some feeling in her tail.

Before, she knew it she realized that she was able to finally open her eyes.

She slowly does so, only to find herself in a small modern day home. The room was slightly dark, only sunlight peaking through the curtains allowing her to see her surroundings.

She slowly began to lift up her head slightly so she could cover more ground.

"K-Kit..." she called in a frail voice, "C-Clank...R-Ratche-"

Before she could finish the last name, Rivet winced in agony as soon as she got up so far. Her head and back got the worst of the soreness as both of them throbbed in this terrible sensation.

"Whoa Whoa Whoa, Easy now..." A soft male voice spoke from beside her as she felt a soft hand on her chest which softly pushes her back down, "Try not to move...you took quite a hit."

Rivet flutters her eyes open due to them being squinted shut from the pain. As she did so she notices a golden tiger orange hand smoothing down here white fur on her chest, near her collarbone.

She also noticed that she wasn't wearing a shirt, nor a brassiere. She was able to look down a bit more to see a row of bandages wrapped around her upper torso, covering her breasts like a wireless bra.

She glances over to see a golden tiger orange lombax with green eyes laying next to her in her blurry vision. He was shirtless, but she knows that he still has his pants on even though she can't move any further to look. The warm sensation of relief fills her body to see him again after being in that "dark space" for as long as she can remember.

"Ratchet..." she began in a raspy tone, mostly due to her body being sore and her throat being dry.

"There you are." Ratchet coos, his eyes full of tenderness. "Good morning."

The albino female smiles softly as she tries to lift herself up again to turn to him, only to feel the same pain she felt earlier but this time it was a lot more sharper. She lets out a hiss of pain, causing Ratchet's tender expression to turn concerned as he carefully lays her back down again, smoothing down her fur which was stuck up due to discomfort.

"Careful Riv..." he said, "don't you move too quick. And please, Don't be stubborn as a lombax."

As he chuckled, Rivet gave Ratchet a displeased look, not finding his joke funny, "that's because I am a lombax..." she hissed softly.

"I know that." Ratchet smirked, "just thought I could cheer you up with a joke."

She smiles softly as she takes a couple deep breaths.

"Where...am I...?"  She asks as soon as the pain began to soothe, "What is this place...? It's definitely not Mort's...That's for sure... "

"Well..." Ratchet began, "Where to start?"

"Oh! Hello there!" A soft female voice suddenly added, causing the recovering lombax to look up to see a brown Kraetsiz with fluffy fur and heterochromia eyes, similar to Lincoln's, at the door. She had dark brown striped patches on her fur and she was holding some tea which was for Ratchet.
