Chapter 6: Lucky the First Time

After signing for a day off, Ratchet, Clank and Lincoln walked to Ratchet's house since Ratchet decide to teach Link some fighting moves. Lincoln was excited of course, but his excitement would soon go away as soon as arrived.

Ratchet enters the house, only to be greeted by........A dark navy kraetsiz. Lincoln's eyes just widened in shock. "C-Cleo.....?"

Cleo perks up when she heard Link's voice as she looks at her long lost brother with widened eyes. "Link?" She said with disbelief in her voice, "is that really you?" Link nods in tears before he hugs Cleo tight. "I missed you big sis...." he cried. Cleo was still frozen in surprise and shock but she eventually place is a soft paw on her brother's back, she didn't hug him back or anything, it was just that one paw on his back, that's it.

Ratchet just looked at them with pure confusion, "OK hold up for a sec..." he said, "Big sis?" "yeah!" Lincoln replied, "she's my older sister." "yeah....." Cleo added, "it's good to see you again Link." Her Voice was cool and bland as she left the room almost immediately. Both boys were completely confused, why was she acting like this? Was she even happy to see Lincoln again?

"what did I do?" Lincoln mutters, "did I say something wrong?" "No I think she's just angry at me for coming back so early." Said Ratchet, "we need to make a lot of money." "yeah, money is pretty important." Lincoln added, but still thinking why his long lost sister didn't sound like she was happy to see him. "so, shall I teach you some fighting moves?" Ratchet said, "and maybe I can teach you some of my secret ones." "Ok..!" Lincoln said with some added excitement in his voice as a followed Ratchet into his training room.

Meanwhile...

Cleo was smashing a few stuff in her room. She couldn't believe that her little disabled brother was now in Megalopolis! She couldn't stop thinking about her brother being on his own and becoming a Galactic Ranger! This enrages her even more. Him being successful! Pathetic!

When she was young, she was the centre of her family; The queen. The one with the most attention. But that all changed when her little brother was born when she was 6. Her parents only focussed on him! Their whole world was now Lincoln this and Lincoln that! Sure they still showed affection to her of course because she's ALSO their child, but when she was 8 and Link was 2, link was diagnosed with ASD, also known as, Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Those three words made her cringe, Those three words where are the words that took all of her parents attention away from her. Her parents only cared about Lincoln. It's like......Cleo didn't exist.

Her last four years were simple, she grew to be mean, to be bad, and a little bit mad. She would beat up others and hospitalize them, to show her parents that they have a daughter and that Lincoln was not they're only child. She got grounded several times but one time she jumped out the window to cause more mischief.

Until one day, when she was 13, she and her father got into a heated argument. At that time she was at the "power awakening" age; The age where a Kraetsiz's powers are first awakened.

So in her anguish, she slashed her father's face with her claws or should she say.......her ice crystals. Aw yes, her power was to control ice shards. Sounds weak, I know, but she could kill someone in the flick of a tail. After that incident, she ran away..............and never returned.

But the worst part is that her so called "parents" had told everyone, including Lincoln and the local news, that she went missing. Finally, they cared! After 7 years of their neglect, they now cared for her.........even though their daughter was already gone! The next 8 years was not easy, yet not hard. She started off as a thief for 2 years, someone who is hard to catch. She then joined a gang and stole more for 5 more years until they betrayed her I was about to beat her to death. That was until she was saved by Ratchet. He was so kind, yet stupid.
