Two years after going their separate ways back to their dimensions, Both Ratchet and Rivet were thinking about each other even though they had lovers, but those "lovers" weren't as lovely as they seemed.
Will our two favourite Lombaxies meet again...

Ratchet felt so calm and happy to be with Rivet, the girl of his dreams as he held her close, gazing into her beautiful blue eyes. But that happy and calm feeling didn't last long.
He felt Riv tackle him to the ground before he hears her yelp in pain as a spray of warm liquid splattered on his face.
He was stunned as soon he struck the ground, but I didn't take long for him to come back around, only to hear slow pained breaths beside him...and see Rivet on the ground next to him.
"Riv....RIV?!" Ratchet cries as he quickly ran to her side when he realized what had just happened.

He picks up her blooded body and cradled her in his arms. Blood was quickly draining out of the large deep wound on her back, caused by only a couple of sharp crystals impaled into it.
"R-Rivet!" The horrified Ratchet rasped as he held her tightly. She was completely limp and her beautiful eyes right now shut.
Ratchet then felt tears streaming down his eyes as he began to shake in mental pain. He never felt this kind of pain before. Was this.......grief?
"Come on Rivet, please wake up...." Ratchet plead, "Don't leave me...."
"I don't think she can hear you anymore Ratchy...." a familiar feminine voice cooed sinisterly.
Ratchet perked up from the voice as he turns to the one who is speaking.
He growled quietly, It was Cleo, drenched in water from the lake. Ratchet thought she had drowned.
Ratchet carefully placed Rivet down before he lunges at Cleo, his omni-wretch in hand. Cleo dodges his attack with her crystals flying around her, ready to stab him at any moment.
"Do you have ANY idea WHAT YOU'VE DONE?!?!" Ratchet shouted with tears in his eyes.
Cleo just look to him with a sickening smile, "did you really think I was aiming for her?" She asked, grinning.
Ratchet suddenly froze when she asked that, realizing the fact that Cleo about to hit him again, only until Rivet jumped in, taking the hit for him.
"I still don't get why she always ruins my plans!" Cleo yowled, "first she took you away from me, and now she got in the way of killing you FOR GOOD!!!!"
"BUT YOU ENDED UP KILLING HER!!!!" Ratchet yowled as he swing his omni-wrench at Cleo which hits her in the face, causing blood to splash out of her mouth and nose. She hissed and claws his face. Ratchet yelps in pain as he swung his wrench at Cleo who dodged it, causing him to lose balance and tumble into the ground with a painful grunt.
Cleo then pinned him down and looked down at him with a sinister, victorious grin. She then noticed his arc reactor on his chest as her smile becomes even more unhinged.
