Two minutes earlier...

*knock knock knock*

"Awe here they go again..." Mort grumbled when she heard the knock on the door, "coming in drunk as skunks, talking crap abo- oh....hello there."

Mort opens the door, only too see a small cat-like being at the door. He had golden fur with brown and dirty gold details. He was in his younger years, Possibly 16, and he had the most handsome eyes; heterochromia; one green and one amber. He also had his right arm gone, which broke Mort's heart since her daughter went through the same thing as well.

"H-Hi!" he replied, his voice was soft and nervous, "Right um...Hey! I'm Lincoln, Lincoln Forest."

He shook Mort's hand, "oh, what a fine gentleman!" Mort purred, "I'm Mort. What brings you here?"

"Oh um..." Lincoln shuddered like he was trying to look for the right words to say, "I am looking for a girl lombax."

Mort cocks an eyebrow, "you're looking for a girl lombax? White fur? Blue eyes?"

"I.....don't know what she looks like." Lincoln replies, "but it's close to this."

Lincoln them pulls out the drawling and shows it to Mort. Her eyes widened at it, it looked just like Rivet.

"You drew this?" She asked.

"Yeah..." Link answered, "2 years ago....."

"What about you come on in boy." said Mort, "Don't worry. I don't bite."

Lincoln perked up when she said that. They had just met! Why is she welcoming him in? Is this a trick?

"Ummm....." Lincoln hesitated before answering, "Sure." He couldn't just say no to this ma'am. She seems very nice and she may know this lombax girl that he's looking for.

Link cautiously follows Mort into the house. It smelled like an old ship garage but it didn't bother Link one bit. It reminded him of Ratchet's place in a way.

"You want some tea?" asked Mort.

"No thanks..." Lincoln said politely, "I'm good. Thanks anyway."

Mort nods, impressed by his polite manner for such a young age. Yes, Ratchet was polite at times as well and was really nice to her, Rivet and Kit, but sometimes it was like having twin Rivets in the house, especially when they just sweated on her dinner table from an arm wrestle a minute ago.

"I'll be right back, Sugar." She said, "Just don't break anything! Ok?"

Lincoln nods as Mort leaves the room. He scans the area in awe. It wasn't too shabby for a home owned by a texas beaver. It once again reminds him of Ratchet's place. Maybe it's just him and his grief.

It didn't take long for Lincoln to spot a picture frame onto of the fireplace. He gets out of his seat and padded toward the fireplace and the picture frame.

It was a picture of the texas beaver that he just met......with a white girl lombax, possibly aged 5, with bright blue eyes on top of her shoulders.

Lincoln smiles warmly at the picture. It reminded him of him and his father when his was only a kitten. The good old days, a father with his son.

"Link?"

The Kraetsiz froze from the familiar voice at the door behind him. He turns around, his eyes were wide like he had seen a ghost. Well, this situation was like that.

"R-Ratchet....?" Lincoln's voice shook from the sight of his supposedly dead idol at the door. He looked exactly the same before Cleo shot him, but he was wearing different clothes, maybe because his old ones were bloody and ripped from the shards in his chest. His left ear had a triangular chunk taken out of the tip and had a small scar on his right cheek. But the thing that caught Link's eye the most was the weird glowing blue gadget in his chest. It gave him a lot of Iron Man vibes, since he was a big fan of marvel superheroes.
